Hands down one of the best professors out of my four years at SU. VERY organized, very challenging, but prepares you very well for her tests and quizzes. She's picky and pushes for accuracy. She's a native of France so is very knowledgeable about the culture and language. Also, incredibly kind as a human being and treats you with so much respect.

Maria is probably the best French teacher I've ever had. She inspired me to get a major in French and she is extremely helpful. Easy to talk to and doesn't make you feel stupid if you don't know something, simply incroyable. I learned more in her class one quarter than I learned throughout high school. Please, if you can, take Maria, je l'aime.

I love Maria! Initially I decided to just take French as my core language credit, but having a teacher like her persuaded me to make it my minor. Her lessons are really clear and easy to understand but she does expect a lot from her students. Always willing to help though if you need it.

Great teacher and her style is primarily through conversation and games. There is little homework and tests are frequent but not horrible. She tends to call on people a lot so you have to speak. We watched a lot of movies in class too. Great lady!
