Comment:

She's friendly, but her class is unnecessarily hard for an INQ. A LOT of papers that should be simple, but the prompts are so minimal, you do what is asked and end up with a bad grade. Tests are extraordinarily more detailed than any notes provided, making it difficult to do well. Way too hard for a required course.

Comment:

Nice lady, really smart but doesn't cater to students who are not science majors. It makes the class really tough. She uses interesting videos/evidence in her lectures but needs to be more cognizant of students who are taking it because they have to and may not be strong in the genetics dept. Love science? Take it. Otherwise, be aware.

Ramesh grades unnecessarily hard considering this was an INQ REQUIRED CLASS. She doesn't seem to understand that many of her INQ students are not remotely interested in the mechanics of science. We are not geneticists and many of us took this because we HAD to. Ridiculous expectations. Do not take.

I've had Dr. Ramesh for many courses during my time at Roanoke. She has easily become one of my favorite professors. She appreciates hard work, so putting effort into the course will definitely help you succeed. Also, don't be afraid to ask her for help. She is always willing to meet with you to discuss any issues. Work hard, earn the grade.

She was a great professor. Her tests cover everything in notes. If you are taking 120, that is because you care about biology. . .caring about biology is very important for this class. if you don't, it will make you miserable. I, however, loved her and loved the class.

Great lab professor, average lecture professor. If I could help it I would avoid her lectures, but I can't. Never writes everything on the board. Listen closely to what she says. Sometimes does not complete thoughs, or completes them to her level of understanding (very high). I'd take her classes, but watch out for the tests! Study hard.

Comment:

She is really nice and she is willing to see students outside of class for help. Her tests are not too difficult and she goes over all the material before the test. Make sure you attend lectures because she pulls tests almost exclusively from notes.
