By far worst teacher I've ever had in my college career. Taught off of powerpoint slides in a purely math class. Hardly ever did examples on the board and walked through them. Was useless during office hours and referred people to the TA for homework questions. TA would read of solution without any understanding of how to do the problem. STAY AWAY!

Extremely hard. More than half of the class dropped after the midterm. There is only one midterm then the final. Tests only have two quests. I know straight A students who got C's in this class. He is hard to understand and does not make the subject easy to learn. He doesn't come off as approachable but go as for help during office hours. PRACTICE!

Very theoritical, teaches way more theory and way less content. Should have MTH581 as a pre-req. Not helpful during office hours.

This class was really stupid. First of all he uses slides that do not teach you anything. You might as well just read the book, because that is the only thing you will learn from in this class. The problems that were assigned with homework were not covered in class or the book. Tests were graded very strictly. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROF.

Worst professor I've had so far. Homework and test are graded ridiculously hard. His final contained material that was never covered in lecture or assigned in homework. The lab for this class is extremely unorganized. He should be fired.

A man on a mission to bring his superior intellect to the backwards people at a little cow college called Oregon State. He used probability as a chance to attempt to re-educate us on everything from math to circuits. It wasn't that we didn't understand the concepts, it was that everyone was afraid to speak up because he would bite their head off.

Sometimes it is hard to understand exactly what we were learning in class. He puts a lot of material on the board as if he expects you to already have learned it. Problems on tests are very difficult to solve correctly, but he will pass you easily pass if you just show a basic understanding of the material.

Nice guy very helpful. Very excited about the material and teaching it. However, hes not a very good teacher. Tests are very hard. Sometimes he is hard to understand, and tends to go off on tangents a LOT. Learn how to convert the circuits to the s-domain in the first week, and youll own this class. I don't know why he doesn't just teach that first

In this class? Drop it; re-take from Forbes! Does not show a single circuit for first several weeks, focuses entirely on math without any practical context. Tests would be piece of cake (in hindsight) if you manage to learn anything from him; Forbes is a better teacher, but with much harder tests.

A fun and knowledgeable prof. Gets WAY too bogged down in the math, i.e., forgets to teach the intuitive and practical aspects. He is friendly and helpful in office hours. If math is your thing, you will really get along with him. The converse is true.

He has a very rigorous (i.e. mathematical) approach to developing the material, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. His class is frustrating because the tests and lab do not match up with the lecture material at all -- making them harder than needed.

Not a good teacher for the first six weeks of class, and the lab for the class (that he wrote) is perhaps the worst I've ever experienced. The first 6 weeks is a complete waste of time, a bunch of math and showing you how to get Laplace Tables that u have

He's the man. Hands down, the best teacher here! He does love the college ladies though - frequents Cantina and Peacock. You'll have to work though. Visit him in his office hours. He won't give you the answer, but he'll help you figure it out.

Horrible teacher. All he does is derive integrals all day long on the board and doesn't explain anything.
