He's hilarious. Awesome prof to become good friends with. Class is very hands on participation and assignments. Easy assignments most of the time. If you aren't creative, this class isn't for you, if you aren't a CMS Major(required for CMS majors at NU) Respect him. Is always willing to help you. Gets to know you. Overall awesome prof.

GREAT class. He's a really funny guy, and is very lenient. Almost all assignments are in class, with very few that need to be done out of class. He tells you exactly what he is looking for and if you follow his instructions you will do great. There are no tests, only 3 quizzes, which are vocab that he provides you with. Plus, there's no final exam.

Dr. Barner is my go-to professor. I've taken several of his classes and try to take as many classes with him as possible. He's funny, down to earth, knowledgable, and always willing to help. I highly highly highly recommend taking one or more of his classes regardless of your major.

This class is pretty fun to take. Consists of 3 major projects, and 3 quizzes. My only issue with the class is that each quiz is 15% of your grade. Barner is a really cool guy though, helpful, nice, and funny. Definitely recommend taking his classes.

Dr. Barner is a great teacher and he's a lot of fun. Great sense of humor, I was laughing every day in class, but we still learn a lot from him. Can be a tough grader, but if you work hard and give your best effort you'll do well. I highly reccommend his Video Production class, very fun/educational

Good guy, makes class fun. Rarely gives A's, expects you to do the work he assigns to the best of your ability. If you're a Communications major you have no choice, but hes a good teacher and his tests are extremely easy.
