One of the best professors I've had. He explains things clearly while making the lectures fun. The tests are written out and must show your work for credit but he's very forgiving with partial credit.

Professor Hardies is a smart guy and you can tell that he knows his subject. However, he goes way too fast during lecture and doesn't always explain some steps. His tests are pretty difficult especially since there is a small amount of questions so if you miss 2 questions you won't get an A. He's a good story teller, but he's an okay teacher.

This is my favorite professor at St. Petersburg College. He is wonderful, caring, funny, and gives very good lectures. This professor is the way to go for mathematics. Remember to study and do your homework though! His grades are based off of tests only. (I took him for Calculus 2, 3, and differential equations.)

amazing teacher, will go through problems fast. slow him down sometimes. his test are fair and you will have ridiculous amount of homework but takes the exam question out of them. will need a lot of study time for this class.

Professor Hardies knows his stuff. I took him for the blended Trig/Pre-calculus course. This class is NOT easy! You have to keep up with hw. There is a lot of homework, but it is not graded. He only grades the 4 tests and a final that can be exempted or replace one of your lowest test grades. Don't be afraid to go to the Learning Support Commons!

He is a good professor. He can go over the homework problems before he starts at his lecture. You have to do it on your own homework. His homework problems are straightforward. It is just practice. Some of his tests are similar what we did on the homework problems, but he makes up the application of the word problems. Word problems are not easy.

calculus 2 is not an easy class. Hardies gives a good amount of homework, do it. He goes over Hw questions in class. You will be fine on the tests if you know the Hw. I really respect Hardies as a professor. I think he truly cares about his students and he is passionate about his work. I would definitely take him again.

It is a very hard class but It is manageable. Professor Hardies is very knowledgeable about STEM subjects and can explain hard concepts in real life applications because he has had a lot of experience using the things he teaches in the classroom. The textbook is essential and you will not pass without it.

College algebra is overall going to be hard. Math is math, and there isn't anything you can do about it. To me, how the professor presents the information is what makes the class easy or hard. Dr. Hardies did an amazing job presenting the information and I would recommend his online class to anyone!

The course goes through MyMathLab, which is awful. Couldn't even see my overall class grade the whole semester on MyMathLab or MyCourses until the last day of the semester. This was major pain the whole semester because there was no way for me to calculate my grades (he never inputted assignment points)and tell if I was progressing or regressing.

Absolutely wonderful teacher. He always takes time to go over homework questions (which aren't mandatory, but are really helpful to do) multiple times to be sure you understand the concepts. Extremely clear with what he puts on tests so you may prepare yourself. I would take him for any math class possible.

Took him for trigonometry and he is great! He is good at giving clear instructions and if you have any questions, he is good at answering them. His tests are no longer than 15 questions and he tells you how many questions from each section are on the test. He takes the test questions straight from the homework. Good teacher. I'm taking him again!

Dr. Hardies may not be teaching Physics in future, but will be teaching in the math department. It will be a loss for the students at SPC if he does not teach Physics....he is a GREAT professor! If he teaches PHY2048 or 2049 TAKE HIS CLASS!

If you're an engineering major, this is the guy you want to take! He will prepare you in how to approach problems and it will help tremendously in your future courses. It definitely helped me in my chemical engineering class! Don't procrastinate and do his HW ASAP! If you're going to complain about how hard he is then change your major!

I usually do not find a reason to post a negative comment, though all should be aware of this guy. This instructor does not teach, assigns reading on material not used and when it comes time for the test, the only review is being babied by reviewing old one every flunked. Half the class was gone by the third week in, this rating is off by a mile.
