I took HIS-101 at NCC for the Winterim. Prof Malaszczyk was great. Long lectures but that's because you only have 3 weeks to squeeze in Western Civ history. He tells you that in the beginning. Very straight forward on how class is conducted and what is expected. Do the homework and take home test Easy A. He does tell history very well.

This guy is really Fair. The class will seem to be Hard and you will think you are doing horrible in the class. But in the end you will fair well. The midterm and final is hard. Most people will do bad so he grades on a curve. The key factor to this class is doing the extra credit it will boost your grade tremendously. Good Luck!

He is a nice person... seems pretty funny and cool... but once you get into the material, that all changes! He goes really fast, and it's a bit hard to keep up in class, but luckily, everything can be found in the textbook... he tends to talk to the class as if we are all masters in history... he knows so much that it works to our disadvantage!

He is a great history professor. He enjoys what he teaches and it shows, very knowledgeable. Come to class and listen and you will do well on the exams. Gives 2 exams, a project, and an extra credit that can add another 10 points to your final grade. You learn, get interested, and do well.

seems like everyone who takes him is ahistory genuises. he is not easy!..i failed the final worked extremely hard. i took six classes this semester got A's in all of them except him which i got a C+. Review sheet is like a novel,still alot of the questions arent on the test.Class lectures are boring as hell. dont take him unless u know ur history!

Great teacher---don't listen to some of theez---he's not e-z, but he is fair...tests on what he teaches! projekt is related to the classwork...you actually learn something...extra credit projekt is great, but takes you 8-10 hours if you wanna get it right...doc is a SJU grad---take him....luvs 2 teach, and it shows!

He made my actually like history. You cannot do bad if you take good notes and read the book. Like others said, he gives a review and most of that material is on the test but I wouldn't just study the review sheet. The final is made up of questions from the previous exams so it's VERY likely that you can get a 100%
