I took his Presence of the Past class and really enjoyed it. He is a very nice teacher who is always there to help. The class is essentially a role-playing game in ancient history and is really interesting. The game was weird at first but once everyone starts getting into it, it is a lot of fun.

This was such a fun class. Like prior comments you will feel silly at first, but you will get the hang of it. Professor is extremely nice and helpful! Wish I could have him for more classes. If you have the opportunity to take this class I really recommend it. Easy and fun class!!

had him for presence of the past. one of the coolest profs ever. its literally a role playing history class that counts as a 3000 level course. you cant beat it. dude is awesome. youll feel silly the first time playing, then over time you just go with it and its a blast. im gonna miss him!

Great professor! His class is easygoing and fun. Sometimes he goes a bit fast through Powerpoints but they're always available on Blackboard afterwards. I highly recommend taking a theatre class from Mark.

Makes a 1000 level class seems like 3000 level. too much work assignments, two exams, three quizzes, 15 hours in theater production, two critical reviews of two different productions. lectures were very boring.

Coolest class ever- essentially Dungeons and Dragons with historical situations. The work is easy- just show up and participate and you're fine. He responds quickly to emails and is there if you need him (you probably won't).
