He is one of the best teachers I have ever had, He loves what he does which makes the class a blast. He explains everything very clearly. Tests are not too bad as long as you remember characteristics of each class and phyla

He has a good presence in the class room and really does loves plants. Personally the subject matter was very dry, but if you study his notes and learn the characteristics of all the plants groups the tests are easy to do well on. The lab is the worst part of this class. You either read his notes or read the book, absolutely no need to do both.

Best teacher out of the BI 21X series when I was a freshman undergrad 4 years ago. Knows how to handle a lecture with 500 students and keep them awake and entertained in Milam. Too bad I didn't like plants so much, or I would have taken more of his classes
