Took Marla 2 classes years ago and LOVED her! Marla, if you read these you will most likely remember me, hint: Peggy Flemming armadillo... :) She made these classes a joy, and I still cherish art to this day. I am glad to see that she is still sharing her passion and still has that spunk. I hope she still stands on chairs when she lectures...

Yes, she expects you to work and expects you to understand basic artistic concepts, so if you ask a dumb question she is mean. She's definitely the best art teacher I've had at Brookhaven, her critiques are great she really knows what she is doing. Learned so much from this class. Listen, work, have fun!

I thought she was mean! If you messed up on something you were trying for the first time she would embarrass you. She would talk loud when doing one-on-one teaching with you so everyone could hear how much you sucked at drawing. I dropped this class because she was so mean and arrogant. She's an old hag and doesnt care about peoples feelings!
