i dropped her class because i found her uninteresting...also you have to read a good deal out of a textbook for every class to be able to keep up. she gives alot of assignments that are annoying...id say avoid her if you can

I don't know what some of these negative postings are about. I took one of her history classes--as a journalism major--and she was very helpful to me, even went out of her way to provide background that I did not have as a non-history major. I learned a lot in her class, and she was very kind to me.

Dr.Rikard has favorites, clearly. She is by no means helpful and is a pathetic instructor. She is gives no credit to many of her students.I highly recommend no one to take a course by her. She grades, teaches, and interacts with students in a continual condescending tone and spirit.

Absolutely did not enjoy her class....I am not a history major...she only likes history majors and doesn't care about the others. She gives lots of writing assignments...does not follow order of the book..wont answer questions after class. Not a good teacher if you are struggling with history.Not recommended.

Dr. Rikard is such a good teacher. I loved her History class. She makes sure that you understand and I really learned. You have to put forth some effort to get an A, but it's well worth it, especially for all you history lovers.
