I didn't really learn anything in this class. The class isn't hard on a day to day basis because she just reads off the board, but turn everything in and make sure it gets to her. I turned in my final project and she lost it and refused to grade it. She is not helpful if you have questions or go to office hours.

Marni is an amazing professor. She is extremely caring for her students and is really down to give advice and help you out. This class has no exams, and the grade is solely based on two essays and a group project. It's an extremely easy A, and attendance isn't mandatory. International Organizations seems like a boring course, but it was great!

Spends the class reading verbatim what she writes across the board. Its one-way teaching. She doesn't seem interested in the material and spends a significant portion of the class detailing her political distaste for Trump (nobody cares). Huge waste of time. Easy class, terrible teacher.

The exams were poorly written and confusing. The essays were required to be 8-10 paragraphs with a multitude of questions to answer but with only twenty minutes to do so. She based all our quizzes off reading and her notes that were provided were unorganized or hard to follow.

I had two classes with her; both were structured the exact same. Large paper, take-home essay midterm, 1-2 quizzes, and a large group project. She is definitely more passionate about comparative politics when teaching. A lot of her lecture material comes from textbooks so if you go to class (mandatory attendance) you might not need to buy them.

There were no exams and 2-3 papers, plus a random quiz. We watched 3 or 4 movies that had little to do with class, and she felt the need to comment throughout the movie to students next to her. If you're looking for sympathy when life bites you, don't. She asked one student who attended a funeral to see the obituary. She is pompous.

I've taken 3 classes with Dr. Berg. She is personable and a very kind woman. Class structures are all the same; usually 3 big papers and one group presentation with some smaller papers in between. Lectures are long and dry but as long as you show up to class, do the papers and show you can form your own opinions/research you will pass with a B or A

I was enrolled at Colorado State in Prof Berg's ONLINE Hybrid course Intro to International Relations, consequently, I have never met her. All in all my virtual experience with her was good. She explained material and course work well, gave thorough directions, and gave assignments well in advance of their due dates. Glad I had her as a professor.

Writes all her notes on the board, refuses to use powerpoint, which would be so much easier. She takes up the first 10 minutes of class writing on the board and then proceeds to read verbatim off the board. Always lets us out early. She's an ok professor, doesn't seem to engaged in what she is teaching however.

Good teacher. Won't have any problems if you participate and do your work. Is always willing to work with you and help. Won't waste her time with students that don't care.

One of the best professors at CSU. Class isn't too difficult as long as you show up and do your work.

She is a terrible teacher. She does not know how to teach a lecture. Many times at the end of class she will read us a book for like half an hour...I could do that myself.

Pretty horrific. I really like current affairs and international news, but she clearly didn't have a clue on a lot of subjects. The textbook was pretty complex and hard to relate to class material--but the class material is unorganized, too. Class is simply a painful experience, and she is incredibly vocal about her opinions (nobody cares).

Took this class as a Junior so I think it has some weight when I say Marni Berg is the worst professor I have ever had.

Professor Berg is TERRIBLE! I was a straight A student until I got to her class. She will not help you outside of class unless your schedule lines up perfectly with hers. I was interested in the material and studied hard for every exam, but have done poorly due to her terrible teaching style. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!

I love Marni! At first I thought I would hate her, but she is actually a great teacher. Attendance is not mandatory, but be sure to come to class. She puts all of her notes up on the board. Tests are easy if you actually study.

She hand writes all her notes on the board and no one in the back 5 rows of a clark lecture hall can make out what she writes, and her lectures are a bit scattered and unstructured. A lot of her notes seem to come off a quick google search and she doesnt post anything to ram ct. I would try to take this course with a different professor
