Dr. Abegg is really helpful and in general a very personable guy. He knows his stuff well, the only problem is that the lectures are long and can get boring. Overall though, he's great.

I would not take his class if you are not super excited about the subject or a RELS major. I signed up for this course in order to fufill my RELS credit, but that was a bad idea. He's a hard marker. He also does not take personal critism well at all. I would not recommened him unless you are actually really interested in the topic.

SUCH a SWEET man. he is wonderfully kind and very considerate of his students, really cares. very sincere too. probably makes hebrew about as good as it can be...wouldn't have taken it from any other prof.

Great prof, really knows his Hebrew. He uses a somewhat inductive method (he makes the students read Hebrew passages in class) that really helps. If you can, take Hebrew with him! (even if you're not a Biblical Studies major!)
