Professor Zanni has a radiant personality and a passion for chemistry that is evident as soon as you walk into his lectures. He answered questions frequently and always tried his best to get the class to engage in his lectures. His exams were challenging and most of the class averages ranged from 60-70 across the three exams.

He's a fine professor, you can definitely tell he thinks up jokes that he thinks college students would like ahead of time (basically just pointed jokes about anything with the letter 'D' in it). Make sure to print off the powerpoint guides for class, it'll make studying much easier in the end. Everything you need to know is there.

I do not have words. The lectures weren't helpful for me at all, and I ended up having to teach myself everything.

Zanni is an alright professor in lecture, but he goes very fast in order to fit all of the material in and diesn't really dive into topics that much. GO TO OFFICE HOURS! He is so helpful in office hours and helps you to understand the material. Plus he's a pretty cool guy.

Zanni is super funny and makes class really fun. If you do the work you're assigned and actually read the textbook and study you'll do fine in the class. His exams focus on specific concepts from lecture, so if you don't go to lecture you'll miss out.

Dr. Zanni is a really great, caring, funny guy. Chemistry is going to be difficult, but at least Dr. Zanni makes his lectures interesting and interactive. Just be aware that there will be a curve, but it is difficult to get the grade you want.

Comment:
Zanni is a pretty good professor - he's passionate and always excited about chemistry. However, when it gets to the exams, he generally likes to focus half the exam (usually the short answers) on less dominant concepts of the modules/topics learned, which is frustrating. That makes the class harder, and it's hard to utilize the end of sem curve.

Zanni is hilarious and lecture is always fun. The exams are pretty tough, but if you prepare well you'll be fine. He does move super fast in lecture and things can get really confusing, lots of info to cover in not enough time. Overall the class is a lot of work but Zanni made it somewhat enjoyable.

Comment:
It is very clear that Zanni is enthusiastic about chemistry, but he's not the best teacher. He moves very quickly through the slides, and sometimes he'll even skip some of the slides and tell you to do it yourself. Tests are very difficult, and the homework takes a lot of time. Print out the slides otherwise it will be extremely hard to keep up.

I loved taking chemistry with Professor Zanni. He genuinely cares about every student's success. As long as you read and listen during lecture, you'll do well.

Zanni made lecture palatable, if not enjoyable. He mixed in an excessive amount of demos that were fun, but not always relevant or useful. Tests were difficult if you generally struggle with chemistry like I do. The curve is difficult to take advantage of and basically is determined by exams.

Lectures are very interesting. Tests are hard and the final in the class was harder than all of the tough problems that we were tested on in the midterms. He loves doing demos in lecture. Will make you clap for Jim. Sometimes goes by Marty.
