Honestly, people are so tough when it comes to rating DR. Greenwald. I took his class on a Saturday (Spring 2016). He was one of the best professors I've ever had. Yes, this class is a teach yourself class because the books that he has you buy teach you everything that you need to know. People are just lazy!! He will help if you ask for help!

This class is pretty much a learn on your own course. You have to really go through the lessons in the textbooks in order to understand the software. There are quizzes for each section (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) that are fairly easy if you take notes on the demonstrations. If helps you if you ask him too. Great class if interested.

I understand that its a learn through the book to get the skills but I really feel like this professor was not as approachable as other students say on here. You work off of the books by yourself the whole time. I would advise taking someone who is more approachable and hands on. But teaching yourself everything and only asking small questions u ok

Professor Greenwald is a great guy. He's sarcastic at times but nonetheless approachable and helpful when asked. A lot of self-teaching is involved in this class. Worth it. He seems to have stopped taking attendance toward the end of the semester, but I found myself wanting to attend class anyway. Learned a lot. Fun, somewhat easy class.

Great guy to talk to. Funny too. Class was probably the easiest I've ever taken, but I still enjoyed going. He takes attendance in the beginning of the semester and then stopped. Just get your work done by the deadlines and your good. I Highly recommend Marty

I wonder what this guy gets payed for? He doesnt do anything, and I mean that literally. You have to buy the books, you have to teach yourself everything, when its time for quizes and to complete your portfolio; you better hope you tought yourself enough. Therefore, what is he really there for? A nice salary. Buy the books and learn at home.

Marty is a great guy. Taking this class you do have to teach yourself how to use the programs, but that is the only way to learn programs like PHOTOSHOP, ILLUSTRATOR, and INDESIGN. You just have to keep playing around with them, and if you EVER get stuck on how to do something, he will always help. Great Professor! & you work at your own pace.

this class is 150% what you make of it.Y ou teach yourself the ENTIRE time, so if you teach yourself wrong, you're screwed. The books are ok but not the best teaching devices. For a prof. he doesnt teach at all. Youre self taught, so do a good job. I wonder what we pay him for? either way, i learned a lot and did enjoy the class. im glad i took it

"Marty" may be a cool guy, and teach a easy class, but I'm going to school to learn. The first couple of weeks are ok, but don't expect to get more beyond that. Take Professor Sandecki, she'll teach you what should have learned in Marty's class.

Pretty easy class (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), mysteriously stopped taking attendance after first 2 weeks. My best advice here - don't buy the books unless you really need them. Went into class knowing nothing but basic Photoshop and still managed an A- without cracking the tutorial books i spent a ton of $ on.

Really nice guy. Definetly a work on your own class. But Marty is always available for questions and help. Great class for learning Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark Xpress. Don't wait till last min for 4 main projects!
