Very strict,kicked people out during the semester for phone use/sleeping. Threatened calling public safety if the student wouldn't leave. As far as the exams go he wants you to regurgitate exactly what he says and how he says it. All memorization. He's unorganized, lost exams scores last week of class, showed up 10 mins late to exam 3...

A lot of the material comes from reading the book but he provides some guidance. Most of the grade is dependent on a few tests and a small book reflection. He runs class by having a lot of questions and showing up to class helps you get a better understanding. The expectations are what is tested, so make sure you know what he wants in his words.

Very enthusiastic about teaching. makes you bring a name tag to class like in grade school very interested in knowing students by name. topics can be difficult to grasp, but Dr. Auer is pretty good about getting the topic across. Grade is calculated with 3 tests, 3 "miniprojects" and a book report.

Hard Teacher... You can't use graphing calcs on exams and need to memorize lots of info. There's no homework, only three exams and a project to be graded on. If you screw up one exam, your toast!

He is a great prof as long as you follow along with the class. Many tiny quizzes, but they are easy as long as you understand the info from the class the day before. Very enthusiastic about the class and will always be willing to help students and well as get to know them.

Good teacher, but not the best I've had. Makes sure that everyone knows how to do things before moving on. Sometimes a bit intimidating. Does have favourites. Quizes are A LOT easier than tests. Don't be fooled.

Class average on tests was bellow 50%. He will try to help you if you go to his office hours. However, the tests were nothing like the homework or class examples and you were only graded on the tests, no matter what else you do.
