Lectures are everywhere and his explanations dont help at all. Clicker questions are everything during lecture and he has all the homework online. His tests are difficult but with a generous curve. Just do the homework and the discussion with the TA and youre chillen.

Class had 30 webassign homeworks, which help your grade if you do them. His lectures are all over the place and set up very poorly. He is not good at explaining things, and the tests are usually way harder than the study guides. However, the curve is VERY generous. Get ready to teach yourself.

WebAssign assignments that are a majority of the grade, easy to complete and you can really learn from them. Clicker points that are easy to attain. Two midterms and one final, very generous curves for lower grades. A's are still the same as attaining typical A's. Extra credit offered the day before break so don't plan on leaving early. Take him!

Great teacher overall. He really cares about the subject and does his best to translate that into his teaching. He can usually rephrase a concept is asked and is happy to explain in depth at office hours. Definitely a class that needs the prerequisites though, brush up on your algebra!

My favorite professor so far. Sometimes isn't clear when explaining things but he really cares if you are learning. All homework is online and you can figure them out based on examples. Tests can be difficult but I was fine just by studying the practice exams he gives out. Generous curve.

Peter is my favorite professor I've had at SDSU. 10/10 would recommend. He always runs around like a lil hamster during lectures to check answers and makes my life. The class itself isn't too hard, as long as you do the practice exams and go to lectures you'll be fine.

I don't want to give him a bad review, but his teaching style did not mesh with my learning style. Calculus is not an easy subject, but bless the curve. The TA was extremely helpful and I would suggest reading the book and doing a lot of self-teaching. Clicker-grade heavy and the tests always throw people off-guard.

This is not an easy class, but having Salamon as a professor is worth it. He bases his lectures on clicker questions and the extra practice really helps you understand the material. The tests are fairly difficult, but practicing his practice test while also re-doing homework problems will help you pass. He makes quirky jokes and loves to help.

Math151 is a difficult class but it's doable. Don't let the first couple weeks tear you down. If you got less than a 3 on the AP calc I test then maybe taking calc II isn't right for you. I put it in a lot of work and went to office hours quite frequently. He helps to the best of his abilities to make sure you understand the problem.

The course is very difficult, and he is frustrated by the fact that people don't go to his lectures or only go for the beginning. If you attend all of the sessions, do your homework and try; you'll get an A.

Go to office hours. Go to his office hours as often as you possibly can. His lectures can be comically confusing at the beginning of the semester, but once you get in the one-on-one setting he truly shines. Do the practice exams, because they're very similar to the real thing.

A passable class if you put in the work. If you take Math151 with Salamon you must definitely read ahead of the large lectures and talk to your TA a lot. Understanding him is difficult sometimes but you should ask questions in lecture if needed. Has a fair curve on overall grades.

Very passionate about teaching Calculus, and knowledgeable also. Has a knack for presenting a solution in different ways which sometimes made me lost, but it's because he knows people think differently and one answer may be simple for some and difficult to others so he tries to balance it out. Overall good professor, tough class

His lectures aren't always the best. The beginning of the year wasn't my favorite, but towards the end he began to really shine as a teacher and taught the material rather well. Math151 in general is a mess and unorganized, but he's a good teacher to have for the class.

He's a math genius & his perspective & way of thinking is very similar to mine, so I found him very helpful. He explainsteaches everything very clearly, & is also very pro-student, willing to extend assignments & redo test scores. I've heard nothing but terrible things about the other calc professors & theres nobody I rather would've had.

I was nervous to take this class with this professor since the rating was so low; he is a very interesting person. If you don't pay attention you will be lost, the tests are somewhat hard but the curve saves you. Hw is worth a big chunk and clickers everyday so don't miss class
