Comment:

Not just a good teacher, but a great human being. Homework was 2 book reports but books are middle school level reading, except one of them. There was also a big group presentation that took more than half the semester. Her grading can be a little confusing but the class is worth taking.

This was the worst class I have ever taken. She showed videos for most of class time and asked terrible questions to generate discussion. She was also very unclear of what she wanted out of class assignments. Points were taken off for things she didn't even ask for! I would not recommended her at all.

Sweet and caring woman! Great teacher! Uses power point for lecture, but does NOT use D2L. You have to write down all the notes, but she waits until everyone has them down. Go to every single class, then she'll boost your grade at the end. Exams and papers are straight forward. Overall, a great course!

Class and readings were always interesting and she is extremely helpful. The book was helpful for exams and essays, so I would suggest buying it. She is an excellent professor and I plan on taking more of her courses in the future.

I wouldn't recommend her. Not clear about what she wanted us to know, not objective while teaching (often gave her opinion about juvenile behavior instead of providing factual research). Quite harsh grader. She wants you to write like she is 4 and has specific expectations which she grades on but doesn't tell you ahead of time.

Wonderful woman, her class was fascinating and the work was not difficult, at times it was a tad time consuming but really enjoyable. She is very sweet and helpful, I fully recommend her!

I have mixed feelings about this class. I liked the material presented, especially the books, but I don't like the way she teaches. She wants her students to participate, but then she finds ways to prove the students wrong every single time... got very annoying and discouraging very fast!

Very very nice, always willing to give you more help. We watched movies, held class discussions and listened to her lecture. Had to read two books, you could pick from two the first time and the second one was assigned. She gave a review for the second exam that was very helpful.

Extreame ULTRA LIBERAL feminist. Think in that mode, do the readings and you'll do ok. Does not curve up for final grade! (I missed a whole letter grade by a whole 1/2 a point at end of term and she wouldn't move me up!) That was BS!
