She isn't as bad as the comments make her out to be, but she isn't that great either. If she didn't spend so much time trying to impact your belief systems and instead used that time to teach you how to teach, then she would be much better. She is a nice lady and has good intentions.

Her corney sense of humor is funny, but she is an awful teacher. She might have been good like 50 years ago or so. She thinks inclusive teaching means you have students of a variety of ethnic backgrounds in your class.... as opposed to what it REALLY is, having special ed. and gen. ed. kids in the same class... yeaaa...

Stay away if you can! God bless you if you can't. The Prof is nice (kinda/mostly) but the class is awful/useless. Really prideful. She gets really ticked about students who have to use the restroom. Jumps to judgment. She’s really an example of how not to be as an educator. Assignments are unclear yet she likes to hold students responsible

Those that complain about Dr. Corey are the ones that sit in the back of the class and never participate. She is extremely helpful, especially 1 to 1. Corny sense of humor that you have to appreciate. Does give busy work but has made improvements with course curriculums and lessons.

I found corey's class to be extremely unrewarding. There was no substance to the assignments; they were busy work. The class overall was a dissapointment due to corey's lack of knowledge and innovation. All we did was read other people's ideas; and she gave no feedback to our work. A simple "Unsat" without explaination was common.

Dr. Corey gives meaningless, busy work assingments that lack substance. She is a very poor teacher and unfortantley she is the one (the only one) who can teach you how to be a social studies teacher. It is sick that the college has put her in charge of Secondary S.S. education. She is very confusing and does not explain assingments.

She will give assignments that make you think. You must interpret on occasion. Students may hand in assigmnents that look nothing like eachother yet are correct. Be sure you check with her when you are not sure. She is very helpful. Her assignments force students to communicate with eachother. Not always in black and white - neither is teaching!

She is a new teacher and doesn't seem to have a grasp on her material. She has gotten better in the last couple of years, but I wouldn't reccomend her. She has unrealistic expectations and gives assignments that lack meaningfulness.
