I would not advise anyone to take her and if you do, don't take an 8 o'clock lab on Monday morning. There hasn't been a single lab that she's not crabby and yelling at us. She doesn't explain things well and expects students to know the stuff.

Do not ask her questions, she gets very defensive. Talks about personal life most of the time. Lecture is almost pointless she goes over content to fast and doesnt give good examples. Also makes you hand in one word answers to problems on an entire sheet of paper, 2-3 times per class. Didnt obtain much info for future reference.

Dr.Evenson is great, she stayed 45 minutes after lab to help me figure out what i was doing wrong in the assignment, no other teacher has ever done that for me.

terrible!this class was supposed to be for students that havent taken chem in high school so it should have been WAY more broken down and clear, she talks about herself ALL THE TIME! no joke!when she tries to help, she just makes you feel stupid!when i wasn't in class, i was reading the book trying to understand!she is probably the worst ive had!

If you are taking more than chem 140 then take Dr Evenson, she will make you work hard from the beggening and that will make it easier once in chem 210. she helps a lot if you go to see her and show her that you really want to learn and succeed! Thanks Dr Evenson!

Worst prof. at St.Cloud.She's unclear, doesn't even teach in class.The book does a better job explaining things & atleast it doesn't talk, which is a major plus.She's unhelpful and always complains.Talks about random subjects in class that doesn't have any relevance.When she asks for your feed back she turns defensive & acts like its you fault

She may not be the best looking teacher but that doesn't mean she isn't a good teacher. If you ask for help one-on-one she is very helpful. She knows what she's talking about and is a fair grader. Do the homework and study for the tests and you'll be fine.

Comment:

Hard to concentrate on anything but her huge brown buck teeth, and stringy hair. Probably one of the worst profs. at the university. Not helpful, and can be very mean at times. She talks about things that you never need to know, and I think she does just to confuse people.

WORST TEACHER EVER! I didn't learn anything from her, I had to figure everything out for myself! Her lectures are pointless! Just read the book and do the problems within the chapter if you wanna do good on the tests. The labs are alright but just take a different teacher! I HIGHLY suggest NOT taking her!

Not a good class. She grades super hard. The tests suck and I didn't do good on any of them. Her lectures: she makes a powerpoint and just reads off of them. Boring, boring, boring. She's not a very good teacher. Hard to follow. Tries to help you but gets pissy and it doesn't help. Not good.

She is a horrible teacher, she does not explain problems, she pretty much does them to herself. I have to say her class was easy, we took group tests, and there are extra credit opportunities. I don't recomend her if you are actually trying to learn something.
