Dr. Salmond is a real gem. She gives the most amazing feedback and really cares about her students. You will get he most from her and this class if you try hard, but don't stress about being "right" or "wrong". She wants you to explore art and explore who you are in context of our history. Will definitely be taking another class with her again.

Comment:

Professor Salmond is the sweetest professor that I have had since being at Chapman. She gives THE BEST feedback on all of your assignments which really shows how eager she is for all of her students to succeed. Her lectures are also very interesting even though she may sometimes get discouraged and not think so. She really is the best of the best.

I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Wendy. She is by far my favorite professor at Chapman with a true passion for her subject and her students. When I was going through a hard time, she had endless compassion and I owe much of my success to her.

Took this Art History class for fun, as I've always been interested in art. First, it was very nice that this class focuses on art theory and historical context rather than memorizing dates and names. Also, Wendy is such an awesome professor. She is very passionate about art and also has a great accent. I wish she taught more classes I could take!

Wendy is my favorite professor. She is laid back to the point where she does not force you to do activities and does not give out busy work. She gives you ample time to complete assignment and an overall joy and outstanding teacher. I would def. take another class with her even though I am not an art major!

I have only had this one class with her but I can safely say that Wendy is one of my favorite teachers at Chapman! I had no knowledge of this subject before, but I am getting a good grade because I find the subject so fascinating now. I am never bored in class. She is incredibly nice and cheerful! :)

A wonderful teacher! She's extremely sweet and helpful. Though she sometimes hands back papers late for revision, she leaves plenty of personal, helpful notes AND gives you the full week to rewrite it, even if she hands it back during the last class. Great person =)

Fantastic professor. Fun, funny, adorable, really loves her subject. She gets excited about everything anyone has to say, and never makes anyone feel stupid, ever. Her tests are easy if you know the material. Don't have to do the readings, but honestly it's hard not to love her class.

Wendy is an awesome teacher. The class is a lot of work for those of you who are taking it just for the GE credit. There´s only two tests and two papers. You have to memorize a lot of works of art, artists, and dates. But if you want to become more knowledgeable in art, this is the class for you.

Dr. Salmond is an asset to Chapman. I transferred from another school where they have a great art history dept., but she is one of the finest art historians I know (an expert in Russian art, too). Chapman should pay her more.

Wendy is an absolute joy! One (if not the) best professors at Chapman. She knows her students, she cares about them, she takes the time to listen to your concerns, will help you with the papers, and is incredibly understanding. She is an expert in Russian art; an amazing art historian.
