It is hard to learn from her and most students agree. The class is to expensive to gain so little knowledge . She will have you study for a quiz and then completely change the quiz she had you study for. I am seriously thinking of taking an off campus Spanish class elsewhere, I can not learn in her class.

Jackson is hands down the worst professor I have had in the Spanish department. Instead of explaining material, she told our class it was boring for her to lecture and made us do book work. She grades her exams so hard, and the book is absolutely terrible.

Jackson is one of those teachers that expects you to already know the material, and to study a lot outside of class. If you ask for help, she will help you, but she will also make you feel dumb at the same time. She grades the tests and quizzes very tough, and she tests you on EVERYTHING that was talked about, and that is in the chapter. Study hard

RUNN ! I would NOT recommend anyone to take a class with this professor. She is rude, does not explain material well, discouraging, run through hard material to quick, teaches like you already know the material. Weekly quizzes and EXTREMELY hard exams. get out while you can, seriously !

She is TOUGH. Tons of homework due daily, tests are difficult and she grades very hard. She would take a full point off for something that was slightly misspelled even though it was the right idea. I managed to pass this class, because I had to work my hardest. Keep up with homework, and participate in class, and study EVERYTHING.

Her class isn't bad at all! The only thing that I didn't like about her teaching style is that she would explain her grammar lessons quickly sometimes and that she doesn't put grades up on blackboard. She is a really nice lady and will always help you whenever you need it! I liked her a lot.

She has difficulty explaining grammar concepts. She does not provide a well-rounded language experience. It is VERY writing heavy. She will assign large amounts of exercises that do little to improve your understanding of the language. Her only saving grace is that her tests are like her practice exercises. They require very little thought.

This professor is a wonderful lady. She tries to teach new grammar concepts in Spanish, which is difficult, but being 202 you should be able to start doing things like that. She is willing to give explanations when needed. She doesn't really give partial points but her class is doable and in combo with 214 really helps you progress in the language.

She wasn't bad for a lit class. All we did was talk about the books in groups every class period, so it got boring and repetitive. She graded very easy and held very helpful review sessions prior to the exams.

Basically stood in front of the class and did exercises from a text book that we were not told would be used for the class. I really (used to) enjoy Spanish, it's my major, however after taking Civilizations of Latin America with this professor, I doubt my spanish speaking abilities. This class is pointless. She has no agenda or passion. Sometimes I wonder if she even know what she's supposed to talk about.

If you want to do well in her class, you do have to do work. But if you put in the effort, you will do fine. I liked that her tests weren't weighted as much as the other assignments, and she was willing to help if you needed it. She's not that bad of a prof.

Overall this course in general didn't impress me. I've had amazing spanish teachers so far and this class seems like a filler class with no real purpose. It's all review of 202 and she didn't really teach anything. You do the same thing for every chapter and it's pretty boring. Definitely not my favorite class. She's nice though!
