She moonlights over at APU teaching Intro to Ecology. I didn't care for the subject but I really enjoyed the forum banter with her. Very open minded teacher. Easy grader if you do the work. Final project is a PowerPoint presentation. Test do have essay questions and the week 3 lab is a huge time sink. I would take her again if I could.

i was very interested in religion prior to taking the class, however the class didnt compare the religions, we simply learned about them, very very boring, class was cancelled several times, i emailed her several times but never got a response. I would not recommend taking this class if you need to balance multiple classes

Basically Comparative Religions is taught from the book, she takes information in the textbook and puts it on a powerpoint presentation. Textbook is really useless, however, as it has no summaries or indexes. No study guides, what is expected on tests is very unclear. I would say...take the class, it's an easy A. But don't expect to like it.

I was extremely disappointed after attending this class. I was very interested in religions and thought it would be a fun class. It's very boring and full of videos about stupid stuff that's not really related to the religion we're studying. Very vague and doesn't explain assignments very well. Mary is nice though if that counts for anything.

Mary's class is a super fun, relatively easy class. She wants you to do well, and obviously cares a lot about her students. She made anthropology really interesting, and though there is a group project at the end (yuck!), if you can suffer through that, it's well worth it.

Great Teacher Great Class! This forensics class is extremely useful for potential police officers and Ms. Norton has done a great job with this first lab class. She clearly outlines the expectations, has innovative and creative ways to teach the material. She goes out of her way help students understand the concepts and information.

You won't find a more caring professor. She really enjoys teaching and her passion gets the class excited. Her lectures are fun and the videos she shows are a nice, but educational, break. Class isn't easy, but it's actually pretty fun. I sound like a genius now when I watch the History Channel.

(Online) Mary Norton is a great teacher. Very helpful and very full of information. Lots of reading of text, notes and going over powerpoint slides online but considering it's on online class that is to be expected. Amount of work was good, not overboard but very detailed questions that force you to learn. Good Class!

This is the hardest class I have taken at BCC--I had a 4.0 until taking this class my last quarter, and I barely escaped with an A-. HOWEVER, Mary Norton is very nice and makes the material as interesting as possible. A lot of her essay/discussion questions are hard, but they really make you think and learn in the process.
