Comment:

This class is very heavy on the quizzes and papers. I took it as a hybrid over the summer but the lectures that I did have were phenomenal and she goes above and beyond what the powerpoints said. Most of the tests are open-note and you can take the online quizzes as many times as you would like. Responds to email very fast and genuinely cares.

Comment:

I was looking forward to a debate-type, current events evaluation kind of class, but this definitely wasn't it. It wasn't much more than my high school civics class, and I found the long lectures hard to pay attention to. However, she does post very accurate reviews on website for all the quizzes. There was a paper due every 1 1/2 weeks, but easy.

Comment:

Although her class was difficult, I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of lectures but she is entertaining and funny so it kept my attention. There was quite a bit of assignments and her quizzes and tests were hard because you had to know your stuff word for word. She was a nice person and if I asked for help, she gladly gave it.

The tests are very difficult but if you know the material you shouldn't have a problem. There are several papers that are relatively easy, and she will definitely help you with any problems. She has amazing lectures backed up by power points and videos. But she talks really loud!

Writing assignments are very easy, however her class is very hard. She has the students write the tests questions and never tells you what to study for. She doesn't really use the book either, it's usually just her rambling on.

I took this class online during the summer. She was very quick to responding to emails. There were quite a few papers to be written but she was very easy on her grading. All tests were multiple choice with a few short answers. If you read the chapters the tests were a breeze. You could keep taking the online quizzes until you got a 100%.

I took her Sociology and American Government class and had a blast in Sociology! I found both classes to be EASY but that's because I studied, you REALLY have to know the material in both classes. I recommend Sociology, it was very interesting and fun.

Very loud and disorganized. Not helpful when you ask questions, and doesn't tell you what you got marked off for as far as points. Quizzes are extremely hard! She says attendance is not mandatory, but if you're not there you will miss notes that will be word for word questions on the test. Also, if your quiz answer isn't word for word, you're WRONG

She is disorganized, somewhat confusing, and not very good with technology. When you ask her a question, she will refer you to the syllabus or to the website (the website is complicated to access, compared to other classes' websites). Today, however, she emailed the whole class to report an error in the syllabus. She is not very helpful.

She's knowledgable and helpful but I found her teaching style boring. Lots of lecturing in a class that easily could have been more student directed. Assignments were OK, critique cards could have ended much sooner - too many.
