I took this class in the fall 2014 semester. I have to admit Dr. Farrell is an old dear soul, but be prepared to get all of the dates of events right on her exams, or she'll take off major points!!! She stutters in her lectures, but you got to be patient with her. Overall, she's a good old school teacher.

The hardest part of this class is staying awake. But she does give you a study guide for the test which is basically what is on the test.

The stutters are extremely distracting. Harps on the stuff that is common knowledge and breezes through things that are on the test. nevertheless, she gives a study guide that says exactly what is on the test but you need to memorize vocab word-for-word (even though she claims you just need to know "the jist of it") for the tests.

I took all of her history classes: 217, 218, 371 and geog101. Yes, she stutters but you really don't hear it after a while. She's amazingly sweet and kind but she acts like a professor should. When it comes to needing the books - you'll need them for geog101 and her Irish History. Her classes are lecture based with some video. She's personable too.

Really Nice. Gives study guides that are the exam. Must attend class. No reason not to get 100% on every exam. Her lectures are long, but has all information. Textbook is useless.

Class was a snoozefest but so easy, I never looked at the textbook and got a B in the class, She is a sweet lady and gives study guides before tests. Follow the study guides and you will do very well. There are some novels which you have to write middle school style book reports on. I never read them and got A's on them.

Dr. Farrell is one of the most insightful, helpful professors I've ever had. She is very knowledgeable about the subjects she teaches. I loved all of the classes I had with her and would highly recommend her.

Dr. Farrell is very helpful if you put forth the effort, if you take advantage all the resources its an easy A. A lot of people don't read the text book and that is a MISTAKE. She covers a lot in the class, but somethings come from the book. Take advantage of her office hours and email, she responds very quickly. She renewed my interest in history.

I won't take another class with her. She's knowledgeable on her subject, but class is boring. She doesn't understand personal emergencies and, like someone else said, you have to get on her good side in order for her to grade you well. Did not learn anything, but I do know a lot about history. Exams aren't as easy as every one makes them seem.

make sure you get on her good side or else she will grade you hard and give you grades lower than what you deserve, also she uses the word um or ah uncontrollably which makes it hard to pay attention

The first obstacle with Dr. Farrell is her off-putting habit of saying "uh" after every word. But you get over it. The class is quite boring most of the time, and covers material that I learned in middle and high school. We never used the main textbook. But all in all she's a really understanding, knowledgeable person and a good teacher.

I love Dr. Farrell! Although she does say umm a lot, she is the nicest little old lady and loves what she does! Plus he classes are super easy- she gives you the study guide for the test and if it isn't on the study guide, it isn't on the test. History 328 was awesome, and I learned a lot!

Cute little old lady that knows soo much about what she is teaching. I loved everything she taught, she can be boring. Write down everything she says because it will be on the test. She gives the worlds best study guides and grades very easy on everything. No homework besides book reports most people didnt read the books and walked away with an A.

OMG, how many times does that woman say 'UM'??!?!?! Um, uh uh uh the women of the uh, uh world war II uh uh. Very easy tester, dont need to stay awake in class to get an A. Too hard to stay awake in the first place. Lots of movies. May be black and white but they are still movies!

A very sweet teacher who practically hands you the exam to study before the test. If you show up for the class and study the review guide, it should be an easy A.
