Wow...I have never done so poorly in a Spanish class in my life. The book is terrible and this professor is worse. Don't expect to have any emails replied to, or any questions responded to with a straight answer. If you like taking the long most complicated route possible to learn things then maybe this guy is for you. Prepare to live at SLAC.

This guy comes to class late almost every day huffing and puffing and you would think he would be easy, since he himself is unorganized, but HE IS NOT! I came to him for help and/or extra credit opportunities and he just shrugged his shoulders and said nope. Basically know everything there is to know about spanish.

While I wish I could give you a glimmer of hope with this prof., I can't at all. If you have a background in Spanish, like I do, then you still have no hope what so ever. More than half the class is border line to failing this course, and it's no surprise since there is little instruction going on for this class. Please avoid this prof.

He's the worst professor at Texas State. Almost more than half my class is probably going to fail. He has favorites, but expects you to know spanish the day you get there and lets be honest, this schools spanish department is the saddest.

I am very sad to see these bad reviews of Dr. Juge. I agree, he doesn't review homework and the tests were very in depth but he was the first foreign language teacher who didn't make me feel stupid for asking dumb questions. The first couple classes were awkward and we just kept asking questions. He also tried to explain in english as well. Helpful

WHY DOES THE STATE OF TEXAS ALLOW THIS TYPE OF PERSON TO CALL HIMSELF A PROFESSOR/INSTRUCTOR?? I CAN THINK OF A LOT OF OTHER WORDS THAT WOULD REPRESENT WHAT HE IS--INSTRUCTOR/PROFESSOR IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tests are extremely hard. Very complex questions on the tests. He speaks several different languages and switches back and forth between them which would be okay if the class was linguistics and not Spanish. Make sure you attend class and do the homework if you hope to pass. Make sure you know every type of conjugation possible for verbs.

By far the worst teacher I have ever had!!! Does not explain instructions and expects you to check TRACS every second of the day. Never goes over the homework. Grades hard on the compositions and know who to conjugate verbs in every way possible.

Quite possibly one of the worst teachers I've ever had. Avoid taking him at all cost. I speak Spanish pretty well, considering I lived in Mexico and his class was even difficult for me. Plus, the guy is a jerk and he thinks he is sooooooo great but he's not. And ditto to the Spanish accent comment above.
