BEST professor/teacher I have ever had. Such a nice guy and the class, in general, is just very lighthearted and easy. 10/10 would take the class again and would take a class with Julius again!

Dr. Julius is a very outgoing person. He is a great lecturer and has some great side notes about different topics. I thought he did a great job of also telling students what was important come exam time. If you show up to class you will be fine. Try to read the chapters as you go along, it will help a lot.

Summer Bio 152-He canceled half of the lectures because he was traveling for research. He accidentally emailed the final exam with answers to the class, but still used it. Don't suggest take a summer class with him if you want to learn anything. School year-100% better. He's smart&funny. Retained a lot of information. Hard to tell what's on exams.

Dr. Julius is an amazing person! He is really hard to find after class and it is hard to understand how he tests. ASK QUESTIONS! The moment you do not understand something just stop him and ask questions! He goes on a lot of tangents, so it can be complicated to remove what you need to know from what you do not need to know.

Not so sure about how he teaches for the lower levels, but at the graduate level he is fantastic. Interesting to listen to, loves what he does, and is extremely easy going.

Although sometimes hard to follow, Dr. Julius does a good job preparing students for the test. He lets students know which information is the most important and helps connect all of the pieces together. Offered several additional study sessions which were very helpful. Tests were challenging-must study to pass. Lab has lots of group work.

Professors switched out mid semester. Julius was AMAZING compared to Gazal, who taught the 1st half. Interesting lectures. Exams were still challenging but Julius would let you know what was important to study and give helpful tips for studying. Gave study sessions before exams. Youtube channel Crash Course helped me with studying major concepts.

I would definitely recommend Julius as a professor! He is really funny and tells great stories, the class tends to get off topic but he gives you the resources to do well on the quizzes. He is aware the textbooks can be hard to understand and at least wants you to try. Attendance is not mandatory but its fun to go and its graded on a curve!

He is easy to follow & friendly. Huge grading curve. Topics are easy to grasp in the manner they are presented. Goes over harder concepts in class thoroughly, ASK QUESTIONS! Expect to read your texts, 10-20 question book/lab quiz about every other week. 'Lab' program costs extra $20 & is needed. I got both books under $50. 2nd Book: 9780307277459

I took this class as a freshmen and I enjoyed the class. I'm not sure if he was done in the past but if you attended on Friday's he gave you extra credit. You have to read the books to pass the tests. The books are cheap but heard to understand. You also have to pay $20 for a lab program to pass

Dr. Julius is extremely passionate about the subject and makes the lecture interesting with his hilarious stories and enthusiasm. Although, class is too short in summer I have actually learned a great deal. We had an online exam, 3 easy labs ,and final. Book was not necessary. All in all, I highly recommend taking BIOL 152 with professor Julius

Dr. Julius is an energetic professor who likes to make jokes and not make the class super serious. He hints at certain things that will be on the test but doesn't give a study guide. I don't remember there being much extra credit either. The exams are really tough, especially the final. The labs weren't that bad so do really well on those.

Would not recommend. Funny guy, but lectures do not cover test material. Tests are very tricky. Tells you to study one thing and tests are completely different material. Had practice exams but seemed to get it from online because some questions were very irrelevant to what we were learning. Labs saved my grade. He also curved final grade.

Dr. Julius is passionate about what he does and that makes the class somewhat interesting. The tests were reasonable, no study guides given, however, he offered a review session before every exam. The final was ridiculous as it contained material that he specifically said not to study. Lab was extremely unorganized. I believe he curved the class

Hardest class I've ever taken. The Average test grades for Exam 1 was a 58% and Exam 2 a 55%. No study guide. Do not take this unless you are a biology major. I'm in this class now and have to go to the tutors at least twice a week to work on labs and studying. He is too smart to teach this class to students with no background in the sciences.

Julius is an okay teacher, I thought I've had worse professors, but he's actually the worst I have taken. He does not provide any study guides, so be prepared to study on your own and hopefully pass the exam. We took an exam October 7th and class average was 58%he doesn't specify at all what you should focus on and lectures are really off topic.

BEST CLASS EVER!! He is super easy and really interesting at that! TAKE TAKE TAKE him for your mandatory biology credit, not online though, had a night class that was once a week and was a 2 hour plus class, Those two hours flew by without problem. His lectures are really intriguing and inviting for questions. Highly suggest

Online corse. Just don't take it. Never responds to emails. Failure to put up some lab quizzes. Feel like the online class is a last priority compared to in class course. Quiz questions were extremely textual based. Lots of reading that are hard to follow. Overall a waste of time and money
