Matt Deady is the single most selfless professor you will have. He will go above and beyond to make sure you understand the material, meet with you regularly outside of class, and is one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Matt is the greatest teacher ever. He's always accessible and available when you need help and he genuinely cares about getting to know his students as people. He's clearly brilliant at what he does. Physics is definitely do-able if you're dedicated to staying on top of the material, but don't expect an easy ride. Bottom line: Best professor ever!!

I love him. He made physics interesting for me and was always very clear about what he wanted from his students. As long as you do the homework and pay attention in class you will learn a lot and appreciate physics for all it is. I loved his class and Beta (the dog) and it was all good.

Matt is an incredibly intelligent and interesting teacher. He brought every text to life and even made interesting the duller things we read. He always managed to incorporate his scientific insight (to an appropriate, not excessive degree), which I found quite engaging, being a science major and all. He facilitated class discussion incredibly.

I see Matthew every morning at 8:30 for either first year seminar or physics 101. He brings his dog Beta to class and tells physics stories that only math and science people (ME!) understand. He is a dedicated teacher and helps us all understand.
