She has a very interesting personality, which in turn keeps the class interesting. Don't bother buying the textbook, she doesn't use it and if you go to class and take notes you won't need it. She goes over all the material that will be on the exams in class, and makes it obvious the things that you should know for the exams. Not alot of HW.

Professor MacCarthur was easily one of my favorite professors so far. She is really big on participation so make sure you know your stuff. Take the notes she gives and pay attention to the things she hints at in class. Show up to class, participate, study for the tests. It is that simple. Great class, great professor. Highly recommended.

Maud Maccarthur was a wonderful teacher who helped me through her class. She cares very much about her students and she is a wonderful person. I thoroughly enjoyed her class and would recommend it.

easiest pysch class at wcsu. she has a great sense of humor. tells personal stories that relate to subjects that are hysterical. she lectures the few notes you need for tests and repeats them multiple times to make sure you got it all down. take the notes, go to the class before the exam for a good review and youll get an A

Class and Tests completely rely on her lectures in class. Its pretty easy to figure out which classes you should attend. As long as you have the class notes or can get them from someone, study them and you'll pass the test. She works to try and help you pass. Her accent is sometimes hard to understand.Ignore other students just write what she says.

1) DO NOT buy the book!!! She will get off track easily. Lectures can be pointless at times. MAKE SURE you go to every single one of her classes and pretty much write down EVERY SINGLE word she says in class. I BOUGHT THE BOOK, STUDIED FOR 3 HRS before every test and didnt pass..Her tests are so easy, yet very TRICKY!

Worst teacher that I ever had at WestConn, possibly ever.She can barely speak English, she tries to be funny when she's not funny at all. If you want to learn about Psychology do not take a class with this woman as your professor. All the negative comments made about her already are pretty much accurate.

She was the worst prof. I have EVER had, bar none. Her tests and grading are not clear, and everything that came out of her mouth was incomprehensible. It was a complete waste of time and I was incredibly disappointed with the class. Do yourself a huge favor and never take her for a class.

i can be in the best mood wen i get there & a few minutes in my eyelids will be so heavy the weigh my head down! shes nice but she doesnt stop talking, she doesnt know how to pronounce all of the english words, & she can get annoying. but she tries to make it easy for u to pass.

She is a fun teacher. Light hearted, but her tests are never on what you expect them to be on. I have an A in the class, but it is still a hard test on an easy subject. She does seem to come down harder on students that don't put forth effort.
