Professor Wood is awful. DO NOT take his class!! He only grades two things: attendance & tests. No homework, no quizzes, no nothing. It really hurts you. Majority of grades, were C's and F's. He is monotone, the book is rarely touched. All tests are memorization of lakes, rivers, canyons, plateaus, mountains, etc. He doesn't provice any maps.

I had Woods for World Regional Geography also & when I enrolled for Human Geography a different professor was supposed to be teaching it. I wanted to scream when I learned Woods was teaching G110. A nice man but soooo boring. Show up, takes notes & you should do ok. If you can stay awake. We did go on a cool field trip.

Even though he allows the use of notes during exams it doesn't help much. Be prepared to memorize not just state/country locations & capitals, but also many rivers, lakes, mountains, islands, peninsulas, seas etc. He's nice, but also boring. Gives a list of what to memorize, doesn't go over it, you have to find it on your own.
