Professor Pollard is, by far, the best professor I've ever had (including the professors I had in my undergrad at Long Beach State). She really wants her students to understand, not memorize! Her lectures are application heavy so you really feel confident in the content when you do the homework. I would take every accounting class she teaches!

Of all the professors I've had she is by far one of my favorites. For being an online class she was so easy to get in touch with, often replying during the evenings or weekends within the hour, so helpful. More than willing to provide help when asked, clear grading criteria although you have to do the work, you know, like an adult. Excellent Prof!!

I second everything the last one said! Great professor at explaining concepts and her examples are directly related to the HW. Tests can be tough but they're all multiple choice. Quizes are very similar to HW and also have some extra credit options. Overall take her class!

Incredible professor! Make sure you go to class otherwise the homework and tests will be difficult. She explains things really well in class and does lot's of examples. All homework and tests done through Connect. Homework is easy, tests are harder but not impossible. She let's you redo the homework as practice for the tests. Would take her again!

I took Financial Accounting with Professor Pollard for the Spring 2016 semester, and her amazing lectures is one of the reasons I chose accounting as my major. Her 8-week courses are pretty extensive, so expect A LOT of time to be put into work for this class. Her assignments are straightforward, and it's easy to avoid falling behind.

This is not a class where you can Google everything. That being said, professor is there at your disposal if you need any help. I failed a lot of quizzes on the Connect website but I still ended up passing the class with a B. Not an easy class when it's online and you have to learn on your own but definitely passable one if you put in the effort.

Professor Pollard is the Prof to take if you want to learn the material. After her class I changed my major to accounting bc she's so amazing. However, she's not an easy A. Class Pattern: 1 hw asg. a week on the connect website due Sunday @ midnight. (4 hrs) 1 quiz mon morn from hw. every 2 weeks a test. buy physical text 4 lectures.

This is the best professor I have taken at American River College. She is beyond helpful and willing to do anything to help you understand the material. yes, accounting is tough, but the way she explains it makes it seem like a breeze. the quizzes are based on one hw problem and a test every 2 chapters. take her she is great!

Nicest teacher ever, is the definition of "there are no stupid questions." Explains material very well, and does homework problems in class. Quizzes are based on the homework, and she will always explain things as many times as you need. My only complaint is that exams are 70% of your grade, and they are a bit hard.

An amazing prof. I truly wish I could have her for all my classes. She makes a rather dry topic interesting. She engages the class, speaks well and gives you all the tools you need to succeed. Show up, listen, ask questions and do you homework and she makes accounting a piece of cake. The book has a 1 time code but it includes everything needed

Prof Pollard, was, in short, a really good teacher. Homework and chapter exercises were all mandatory and online. Quizzes were based off of the homework assignment and tests were based on the chapter as a whole. She explained everything quite well and took time to address all questions. Drops one quiz, one assignment and one exercise. 6 exams.

Professor Pollard is absolutely super. She's funny and witty. She wants you to succeed. She's super flexible with due dates if she feels you need more time to grasp the material. She uses the connect program unfortunately which is a bit expensive, but other than that I have nothing negative to say about her. Definitely take her!
