Very thick accent, incredibly boring. I didn't learn a single thing, and she grades way too harsh for a basic speech class. I'd recommend any teacher besides her.

Overall the class is pretty easy, the only thing is that she requires you to write everything into an outline and speak word for word by what you wrote down and have it memorized for speeches. That being said she grades easier than most professors, she is very strict on attendance. Three speeches, two tests, and one paper are assigned.

Super easy class, tests arent hard at all and the speeches are easy to do and you have plenty of time to prepare. Shes strict on attendance but thats about it.

Dr. Zhang is a tough grader but if you do the work you will succeed. She has problems with classroom control. She gives good study guides but you must read the textbook to do well on the tests.

Don't expect much feedback unless you ask for it, but do expect to have a LOT of short classes. On lecture days, class often ended halfway through. She has trouble controlling the class at times, and you do have to read the book for the exams, but it's an easy A if you do the work.

Completely unable to control her classroom, not much learning during class. Must read the book to do well on tests. Unless you take the time to talk to her individually, don't expect to get full points on any assignment as she grades roughly without a rubric. Grades also will not be posted on Moodle, so don't expect to know your grade throughout.

Overall good professor, but ruined it in the end because she promised our final speeches back the day of our final exam and ended up not passing them back because they were not all graded. She told me if I wanted my grade I would have to come back the next semester to get it. Will not put grades on Moodle or send them via email, which was annoying.

She was very helpful. I brought in every assignment beforehand and she read them over for me. Tests are very hard, and the book reading is very important, but she assumes you know that. You will get used to the accent.

Let me reiterate that NOTHING was learned although, if you just need this class to "get by" and are not truly interested in speech, I highly recommend this professor because she grades easier than any teacher I've ever had.
