Shes super nice and quirky and shes so nice that shell actually help you public your writing. Lots of reading to do and what she wants for her essays isnt really clear. Id take her again tho for a creative writing course

She's very nice, and genuinely cares about her students, although she's a bit too "whimsical" for my taste; if you're a super logical thinker, you may not really get what she's about. She's definitely quirky, but not in a negative way. Whether you like her or not, I can promise you that you'll never have another professor like her.

Dr. Almeder is one of the purest souls I have ever met. She is a fighter, and her resilience outside the classroom has transformed her classes to a real experience. She genuinely cares about her students, as well as helping them excel outside of the classroom. Taking a course with Dr. Almeder is one of the best decisions you could make at Roanoke.

Honestly I really enjoyed this class, but her instructions and Syllabus were horrible. She never stayed with the Syllabus but she did really care about writing and her students.

I had her for two classes and I have never had a better teacher. She honestly cares about all of her students which is a rare find. She was excited about the things she taught and her excitement was contagious. She is not an easy grader and expects you to put forth effort but you will never have a better, more passionate teacher.

I love Dr. Almeder. She is the best professor I have ever had. She is understanding and personally cares about every student. I went to her office many times just to talk. Very deep, thoughtful and open minded woman. She's a gift to her profession and the school. She's willing to talk to you and help you out in whatever you need- very giving, & she treats you as a *person* above all. Everyone is her friend. Her only (slight) fault is her tendency to go off on tangents in class.

Great Professor, but harder on grading and quality of work than most. Does not curve, but there are plenty of opporunities for extra credit. If you participate in class, and do good on the assignments you will do well. Almeder is a standout at Roanoke, she makes you think about what you are reading and learning; in class and out.
