Prof. Melanie Campbell, as a lecturer, was around average. Her slides can be slightly disorganized sometimes but she is excellent in answering questions when you ask her. She is also willing to go through trouble to help you if you seek it. Her exams are fair and if you did your assignments well, then you should be prepared for the exams.

I really loved this class. Sure it was at 8:30 and no one bothered going to class, but this teacher is really nice! I missed 2 weeks of classes and fell behind. When I emailed her she arranged one-on-one meetings with her to catch up. She was really helpful! The assignments were hard but everything was curved so I got a good mark :)

Course Evaluation favors this professor. My theory is, the half of the class who decide not to attend the class would have given her straight Es in teaching quality section. Fortunately,this did not happen, because only those who tolerate her lectures still went to her class on course evaluation day.

This is more like a grade-9 math class. By the time she grind through one equation, I probably have finished 8-10 games of minesweeper. Unique math notations she uses are meant to waste your time asking her.

Sitting in her class watching her trying to teach using ppt I kept wishing ?kill me now?. She did very little to teach, instead she regurgitated equations, note-taking in that class is unnecessary.

She did an excellent job of organizing speakers and tours for Physics Seminar. Thanks to her leadership, we were able to visit both Perimeter Institute and Institute for Quantum Computing. When we had questions relating to her presentations, she was more than willing to help us.

I might be the only one to say something positive about her, but at least i give her credit for trying. The materials were straightforward, and her tests were fair. So there's no reason to complain even though she's not exactly the perfect lecturer.

Learn the material yourself using the presentations/PDFs from the website and the textbook (she takes EVERYTHING from the text anyways) ... all she does is confuse you during lectures with her messy examples. The course itself is straightforward to learn yourself; just ignore her.
