Professor Elliott is great! She is lighthearted and funny but can be serious when need be. Grades can be a bit delayed but when you have four classes with 25 students taking exams the same day, grading can get backed up. She gives lots of extra credit. Mrs. Elliott goes out of her way to have open labs etc. I took a&p with her. Make sure to study!

She definitely knows her Biology, but she is not someone that I would ever take another class with again. You wouldn't get grades on anything until 3 weeks later or more. She lost our entire classes lab practical and didn't let anyone know until a week before finals. Tests were not based off of her own study guide. Beware, find another teacher!

Mrs. Elliott is a great instructor. the class is hard because it is a Nursing class. Patho, is not an easy subject. Ask questions when you don't understand. Elliott is nice, she might come off as hardcore but she is really sweet. She gives her notes out on power-point, Study the notes and read what you don't understand.

Attend lectures, record them, write notes and study. Do not come to class having not even looked at the material, if you do you are an idiot. If you are going into healthcare don't be lazy, don't act like a child, do the work. I sat through the class astonished by the number of people who knew nothing and were barely passing.

This is my second time having Melissa Elliot. Although she is a brilliant teacher, she is snarkiest person I've ever met. Grades were never entered on time and when an error was found on tests or quizzes, she would be annoyed that we were questioning her. Be in class always, but avoid taking this class with her if you can.

I've taken two of Melissa Elliott's classes and she can be a tough teacher but she's only there to help you learn and make sure you know your stuff. Listen to her lectures, read your book, and take good notes. Study every day just like she says or you won't pass the class. Her patho & micro class are tough but be there and you'll do great.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid at all cost. Test are confusing and not from her notes. Notes are confusing and not from the book. She can be down right rude. This is the only teacher from Butler I would not recommend. Be in class so you will have some idea of what is going on.

Melissa is an awesome teacher with a great sense of humor. She makes sure you work for your grades but gives you all the tools. Extremely well versed in her subjects and loves to help so be interactive ask questions(she doesn't bite). I like the way she uses real life examples, utilizes Connect/Canvas making it very convenient for at home studies.

GREAT TEACHER! Microbiology is definitely a hard class, & she doesn't deal with lazy. But if you go to class & do the work there is no way you won't pass. Mrs. Elliott is not only funny but her labs are really fun as well. Definitely should take this teacher.

Mrs. Elliott can be intimidating, but she's very nice, so long as you're on her good side. She likes to pick on people though, so be friendly and treat her with respect. You will learn a lot in this class and if you do the appropriate studying, you'll pass just fine!

Micro is hard not doubt about it, but Professor Elliott makes it interesting. She will help if you ask questions and have a willingness to help yourself. She will not baby you, which I like. I would love to take more of her classes.

She certainly does know her micro. But she can be mean and flaky. She does not reply to emails. She says one thing and does another. My grade will suffer due to inconsistencies. And when people have called her out in the past, she is degrading. Ugh, just ready for this class to be done, I will take my B and caution others to avoid her class!

She knows her stuff & can explain it fairly well, but if you question her in anyway your screwed. She picks her favs & her not so favs.Dont get on her bad side or ask questions she will make you feel like a complete loser,an idiot or stupid when doing so.She often says one thing & does another & can be very inaproperate. It seems she trys to fail you

Melissa is a fun teacher. She comes off as a hard ass in the beginning. Just don't be afraid to give an opinion. She may call you stupid, but she'll respect you for asking. But honestly she's a big softy. But don't do any assignments until either the day before or the day of because she often changes her mind on whether or not an assignment counts

Melissa has a bad habit of making you feel like an idiot for asking a question, even if you're a good student. She seems to think you should know as much as she does...and she has a Masters in biology. Some of the things she has said in class are very inappropriate. Some of her comments lead me to believe she is prejudiced and holier-than-thou.

She's a good teacher. She does have a tendency to say one thing and then do something else. For instance, say a short speech is extra credit but then force you to do it. She can "pick on" students but it's not really from a place of being mean. But she's knowledgeable and fair and interesting to listen to.

I'm really great at anything sicence but i almost didn't pass her class. she can be very mean at times. better just to not tell her anything about your personal life because she will be harder on you because of it. she is an ok teacher though
