I took a class from her just to get a general ed credit out of the way. I have hated history all my life, but she totally changed that for me. I am not a history buff but I actually ENJOYED a history class! :O You have to work hard, but she is a great speaker and makes the material interesting (I don't know how).

I hate dr. Walker, She treated me as if I were not good enough b/c I was struggling in her class. Ialso fell that she should not refer students whom she advises to take her class if they do not wish to!

Modern China is one of the hardest classes I took at Converse, but I got an A because I enjoyed it so much. Walker really made the material come to life. I would take that class over any day if I had to do it again.

Very helpful, very sane and very approachable. She makes history fun and a subject where you have to think. I always thought that history is a subject that did not require teaching but Dr. Walker proved how wrong I was.
