Great teacher and a great mentor but he is a little full of himself and doesn't like to have his ideas challenged. I told him I mind my own business and if other people want to take drugs and ruin their lives it's not my problem. He made it a big deal and called me a nihilist. He comes off unprofessional at times but he means well.

Best teacher I had at HCC during my 2 years. I hate and I've never done any public speaking but somehow he make you feel confident. he's funny, and very approachable. if you plan to take this class prepare for one oral presentation and the final is a group presentation

took this class as an elective. all and all good, tests are online and he understands you have a life outside of class but more than 5 absences affect your grade. group project instead of a final which isnt something i like, especially when the groups are assigned.

Don't miss a class or assignment or he will embarass you. The only reason I took his class is because it's only offered in Spring and was a required course. Go to another school if you need to take any of his classes! I'm an A, A- student and somehow received a C in his class. Take his class if you want to mess up your GPA.

He is loud, arrogant , and very into his head. you don't really learn much since you google all of his exams. he is super narcissistic, tries many mental games on students, and not worth taking his class. I just took his class because I had to.

Comes off as stereotypical New Yorker, loud, arrogant, and full of himself. This class is pretty much full of applied psychology pseudoscience and the main objective is to make you into a snake oil salesman. The exams are useless as you can simply google the answers. The grading on other assignments is very subjective, simply bow down to score high

At the beginning of the semester, I liked Mr. Mandel. He was funny and I learned a lot. However, as the weeks went on I lost respect for him. He yells at students because he "can" and uses his "power" and "holier than thou" approach to talk down to people and make them feel awful. He doesn't care if he hurts your feelings at all. He's a monster.

Don't be late..and when i say don't use your phone in class..DONT USE YOUR PHONE. If he sees you on it he will possibly make you pee yourself. Intimidating but very good mentor. Makes class easy to pass, I even use him as my advisor every so often. Genuine man and teacher

He teaches clearly. He'll love you when you participate, but don't ever be late for his class even if you've got a lot going on. The guy will treat you like you're nothing afterward. He can be really narcissistic at times. And mentions his Christian beliefs every so often.

Took Professor Mandel for all my business courses... great teacher and advisor for business major students. easy A... Mandel tells you how it is in the business world so if you still live in a bubble don't take his class... he makes you want to achieve for the BEST!!!

Took Prof Mandel for Intro to Bus. and it was a piece of cake. You don't have to take any notes because it's all in the book. All of the tests are take home but somewhat time consuming and difficult. During class he goes over the material with power point slides. 4 or 5 tests, 9 homework assignments, 3 small research papers and a group final. EASY!
