Literally one of the best professors I have ever had. Go to class everyday and you will be fine. The man is extremely passionate about Russian History, and while a bit long winded is rarely boring. Especially funny in the higher course levels as he is more likely to get worked up and ranty. Seriously, the dude is awesome

Russian history - an easy class with interesting material. Some days the lecture was too boring to sit all the way through but most were fine. Tests are easy (he gives you the questions beforehand) and i didn't have to read the books to get an A on the book reports. It's intimidating at first, but it's really an easy, interesting class.

Haters can suck it. Mikey is awesome! He is one of the most knowledgeable professors I've ever had. Immersed himself in Russian culture, and knows everything over a period of centuries. If you can't read & go to class, skip Mike. He's not a very hard grader IF you can regurgitate at least half of what he's given you.

If you go to class and complete the very manageable reading requirements then it's impossible to not do well. Gives you 5 extra points on your final grade if you don't miss more than 3 classes. Weekly quizzes which are easy if you read and do nothing but boost your grade. Not the most approachable guy, but he tries.

He's a great teacher, but his lectures can be very longwinded and kind of boring at times. Reading quiz every week and attendance isn't mandatory unless you want the five bonus points at the end. He offers lots of incentive to come to class and do the work. Tests are kind of hard, but if you study, you'll do fine. Not a bad teacher to take.

You don't have to go to attend class, just sign in and at the end of the semester he gives a 5pt bonus to the avg. Might not help thought b/c his class is pretty hard if you don't go. I'm on the border of C/D and I only missed about 4 classes. You have to take a lot of notes b/c his test questions are very comprehensive. Doesn't return emails eithe

This guy is a TERRIBLE teacher. You sit in his class and listen to him ramble on and cover WAY too much material. People say the UNOTES help but they are just as skitzo and sparatic as his lectures. Nobody in my class is doing well. Aweful teacher, aweful class.

This teacher is really into what he teaches. He's puts up power pt slides that you can access. I did better in the class once I started using U Notes. You have reading quizzes once a week but he drops the three lowest ones. Attendance is not mandatory but I jumped from a C to a B because he added 5 extra points for perfect attendance. Stay Awake!

Very Easy if you go to class. He gives you 5 points on your final grade just for not missing 3 classes. And if you have a B or higher going into the final you can exempt it. Also you take a reading quiz every thursday and your average is combined to make a test score. Boosted my grade!
