Zevitz has an eyepatch, so it was really no surprise when he disappeared 2 weeks before the final. But the class was rather interesting, read every night, take exceptional notes in class, and study a week before any test and you'll be good... but not sure if he will ever be back...

Dull class material but awesome teacher. He is always trying to make the material enjoyable and tries to give real life examples and make them funny. Definitely you sometimes fall asleep but suddenly he start cracking jokes and you wake up quickly. He uses quotes from his lectures in his tests... I recommend Zevitz if you have to take this course.

He is super boring!!! He just reads out of this lecture. No powerpoint or anything. He doesn't put anything on D2L so forget about that. He takes attendance sometimes only because the university makes him. So definitely show up to class. His tests are hard. He's really specific sometimes so read the textbook and really pay attention in class.

The class is not mandatory, BUT it is so interesting that I usually went. Zevitz has a eyepatch so that makes him even cooler. He knows SO MUCH and it's amazing how much he loves what he does. He doesn't do email, prefers face-to-face contact, which isn't intimidating with him. He also curves the exam A LOT. Read the book & you'll get at least a B.

This class is extremely boring. He reads out of his notes the entire time, but sometimes you do little activities that are fun. Volunteer! =) He never takes attendance, but make sure you do not get behind on the book readings! And make flash cards! It is a lot of work to try and do the week before finals otherwise.

He is extremely knowledgable about the subject, and makes it as interesting as a lecture about the court system can be. His tests are tough, but it's not hard to receive and A if you attend every class and take notes on the reading, which I highly recommend. If I could I would take Zevitz again.

The very first class he read the NYT crime news the whole hour. It is a very boring class honestly, all he does is reading out of his notes. He doesn't take attendance but mostly we need to take a note on what he says so being in class is kinda must. Oftenly giving early dismissal :)

The material is interesting, but the class itself is a complete bore. Going to the lectures and taking notes are pretty much necessary if you want to do well in the class. Tests aren't too bad, I finished with an A, and he gives a fairly big curve every test.

Take this class if you are discerning pre-law. Dr. Zebitz is AWESOME, smart, knowledgable, and helpful. Take good notes in lecture and you will do fine. Even as a freshman I aced everything

Find a buddy with old tests and show up for the class only during test day. Even if you hardly study the curve is crazy. 22 wrong out of 80, 44 percentile and that is a B

Dr. Zevitz really knows his stuff when it comes to Criminology. You have to attend class to do well because his tests are from his lectures. Didn't use the book. Curves his tests so its easy to get atleast a B.

Easy class. Everything really comes from the notes. Whether it's worth it to buy the book is debatable. Curved tests are the best. Attendance isn't mandatory but I'd recommend it.

Very boring professor, but go to class and take decent notes and you'll do fine. No need to read the book he just repeats everything in class. Gives out a nice curve.

This class was one of the easiest classes I had at Marquette. Lectures are dry, but the material is great! Briefly read the book chapters and study all class notes to ace his exams (2 total+1 final-ALL CURVED!!).Attendance is not mandatory, but recommended because he likes to include class examples in his tests. No trick questions wonderful teacher.

Intro to Crime Law was taught by Richard. He wrote the book, and reads directly from it during class. Lectures are dull, but try to attend as many as possible. His exams are multiple choice with curves. The exam includes class examples which helps if you attend.
