Comment:

No matter how complicated a question is, he would take his time, and explains the question with care. His explanations are crystal clear. In his office he would put his other task aside, and answer any questions, whether he had office hours or not. He has a sometimes-criticizing attitude that some students don't like.

His first name's Michael. Last name's Modest. Only two kids in class aced his tests. He starts off with a cough, and ends the same way. Only a few kids in class will receive an A. The class began with 120 students enrolled, only 57 stayed, along with his cold. But in all honesty, he's a pompous professor who does NOT care about his students. Enjoy!

clear in lecture, helpful during office hours, the class that I took with him is probably the best class I have ever taken in my life, and I learn the most out of it

People don't like him because he's tough and sort of sarcastic in class. But he's really clear in lecture and really helpful in office hours. He's clearly concerned about how you do in class. Can't fault the man for teaching a tough topic. I've taken him twice and I'd take him again if I could.

He has this really annoying cough, it annoyed everone during our FINAL EXAM, which was hard enough to begin with. He's also very liberal and likes to insert his own personal comments in the middle of class. (I'm a liberal, and that bothered me)

He's the stereotypical bad professor. Along with that, he hacks and coughs throughout class and is rude in general. He's the only professor I know that graded an exam on a curve that hurts students.

I have had worse instructors, but modest was not very good. He's demanding and thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. Get through first half of course with knowledge from 31, then wander in the dark second half.
