This is the best professor I ever had in my life. He explains things so conceptually that everything starts making sense. Expert of his job. He highlights important stuff repeatedly that you start memorizing it during the lecture if ur attentive. I wish if I could take more of his classes.

Explains things so well and systematically. I just love his way of teaching. Make you memorize important stuff during the lecture by repeating. I would love to take all the courses he will teach.

This guy kills it at his job, his lectures are concise and he never rambles. Every word he says has something to do with the topic, no time is wasted. He should be working at Case Western. He gives you everything you need to know and leaves it to you, just as a good professor should. He could lighten up a bit, maybe smile a little more

Be ready to use his textbook! You will always have homework to do!! Very fun class and professor. Make sure to keep up to date with the chapters. The tests are not impossible to score good, but if you slack off a week you will see the results in the test and I guarantee you its bad. finally, Ask questions in lecture!!!!!

Rowan is one of the best professors I've ever had in my entire academic experience. The material can be challenging, and he makes it accessible. He gives you the tools to succeed, but won't spoon feed you an A. You know he's good when class was scheduled to end 5 minutes ago, and everyone is still sitting their listening to lecture.

You read a lot of information. You will do a lot of homework. You need to memorize the details. A lot of what you study will never be on the test. And things will appear on the test that were never reviewed. You have to read the book and search the net to gather infomation

Prof Rowan runs a good online course, though he relies on Pearson for the homework which I dislike. I learned a ton in the class which is, of course, the most important thing. Most homework assignments took hours to complete but they drive the material home. Be ready to work fast on the weekly quizzes as he doesn't allot much time for them.

His classes are tough. He will tell you specifically what to study for an exam, and then that material will never show up on the exams. It was very frustrating to me. I wouldn't recommend him. If you do take his course, be prepared to study every single thing in each chapter, then you'll possibly ace the class if you're lucky.

Dr. Rowan is a great professor. He is very knowledgable and brings that depth of knowledge to each lecture. As a result going to lecture was fun and helpful. Basically, if you want to achieve a good Understanding of Bio, take him!

Rowan is very engaging in the subject and will help with you through the class especially if you are not comfortable in the subject. Can go over on class time a bit. Go to class, he tells you information that is sometimes not in the textbook and that info will be on the test 9/10 times. Holds open lab sessions, go! They are VERY HELPFUL!

Dr. Rowan is a smart guy, but he puts little effort into his online classes. He rarely updates the class on upcoming assignments and sends links to youtube videos rather than putting up a powerpoint or video lecture. He does not respond to many emails either. If anything, take his classes in person you will learn a lot more.

one of the best professors ever! I wanted yo quit the class, and he stopped me... and then I got an A. However, class is though especially at summer. You will need to study hard for a good grade. The professor did everything that class would be interesting!

Dr. Rowan is fantastic! Learning Guides are provided for test material, PowerPoints are very informative, and lectures fill in any remaining blanks. Whether during class or office hours, Dr. Rowan is always available to answer questions, and works hard to ensure his students truly understand the material. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
