Prof. Thomas is one of the best college professors you'll ever meet. He really cares about his students. Every college course should be taught like this course. Class was very discussion heavy and puts you in control. I felt he was a tough grader but he will meet with you 1 on 1 for insight. The poems we read were short but amazing. Take his class!

Hands down the BEST professor I've had in the 4 years at Monmouth. Doesn't mark your presence in the class but you will WANT to attend just because of him and his teaching methods. Great personality, funny, entertaining, very passionate about his work, and very helpful. Definitly take him if you can!

Michael Thomas is hands down the BEST professor I had at Monmouth University. He is brilliant, hilarious, and really cares for his students and the work he does. I always enjoyed going to his class.. I would retake his class just for fun b/c it was stimulating and interesting and he had the class in stitches every week. TAKE HIM!

Example of an amazing person and professor, someone who truly loves his work and the students. Prof. Thomas is not only intelligent and interesting, he has an awesome sense of humor. I looked forward to this class every week b/c we laughed non-stop. Take him, you will not regret it!

Amazing professor! I was never interested in literature before but Professor Thomas actually made me want to go to class. By no means is this an easy class but he keeps the class interesting and is always willing to help you. If you do the reading and participate he is pretty fair in grading.

I'm a senior at MU and in the last year I have had horrible Profs. I wish they could all take a class on how to teach from Prof Thomas. It got to the point that I did not want to miss class because I would not get in on the discussions that day. I wish I decided to be an English major.

I've been out of college going on 3 years now and Prof. Thomas is the one professor I remember vividly - The 1st time I had him was freshman year and he gave us an assignment to write a letter to ourselves 5 years down the line and he took them and kept them - well I got mine in the mail a year ago and it was quite the shock to see what I thought I was going to do then to what I'm doing now - I recommend him to the highest - Very cool - you respect him - he respects you - Never skipped his class.
