Mr. Wapner makes you think. His class is very interesting and what you learn there you'll take with you for the rest of your life. He teaches you challenge yourself and succeed. I lOVED his therapy class. I was sooo sad when it was over. Trust me I am always happy to be done with class, but this class was the best class ever. He really helps you learn about family therapy. I LOVE HIM!!!!

THis is one of my favorite professor of all time. He is not your typical professor where we just come sit and take notes and go home. He makes his lectures apply to your life. I learned more about myself than I knew. Great Professor.

His teaching style is traditional and very very enlightening. You will learn a world of ideas in his class, so just forget about the classic lecture/note taking/scantron.. those are boring and theres not much to learn from. He's a funny guy, knowledgable, down to earth prof, great guy!

Easy prof. diff method of teaching you...just read all the comments below I totally agree with all of them!! I took him for teo courses and passed them easily...I was stressed free the whole quarter in his class...it can get boring at times but I do recommend him....I learned a lot from him that I actually believe is useful!!

Prof. Wapner is a really great man & a great prof. Knows what he's talking about, he's funny, responsible to his students, interacts with students, students input are valuable to him, understands a students position/hardships, helps you get the most out of his courses. But, if you're all about reading textbook&grades then he's ur typical prof.

To Prof Wapner, the way to teach students seems to be to help us personalize the concepts into our own lives. He tries a lot to relieve the stress of us by postponing papers and tests. Let us choose if we wanted a take home. He finds it more important that we take something from the class instead of memorizing concepts we will forget after tests

Great prof focused one TEACHING students information that will stick with them, not testing ad nauseum. What little assignments/tests he gives are intended to ensure you've learned the material and are easy if you have a basic grasp of it. Attending & participating in lectures will help immensely, and they're only boring if you don't get it.

My first psy class @ CSULA was with Professor Wapner, and it was totally kick back and easy! He's a funny guy, sweet, and smart. In this class, there were lectures, short tests, and no final! I'm sure he operates differently in his other classes. But I'd still recommend him. He's great!

His classes will be a bit tough on those who are not used to a hands off teaching method. If you want to learn in his class it's up to the you to go to to class, try not to fall asleep or walk out early, and read the readings. It may seem hard at the beginning but at the end everything comes together.
