I absolutely loved Professor Yard. He is very knowledgable. He can be very serious, but knows how to throw some fun into lectures. I respect him very well.

Comment:

This was by far my most draining yet favorite class at IUPUI. Professor Yard gives you ample opportunities to succeed along with being very encoring throughout the entire semester. Studying every single day is what got me my grade along with doing the Condensed Notes- they saved my life. Overall, not a tough class just a lot of material to cover.

Comment:

Yard was by far the best science professor i have had at iupui. He has mastered the material and enjoyed teaching and talking about it. He uses real stories which makes the class interesting. The class is hard. Be sure to attend lectures and listen to kaltura and do condensed notes if you want to get a good grade. Lab is really easy.

He's great! I loved learning from him! Always attended lecture + labs. Never attended mentoring. Read in the book some, always did condensed notes questions and end chapter questions. He usually pulls exam questions from there. He's great honestly! Funny, caring of his students and intelligent about what he does.

I have heard wonderful things about this professor. However, the online version of his classes needs to be totally re-evaluated. Had the hardest time with this class as its just 5 exams, no homework. Considered dropping the class. Just do not do the online version.

Dr. Yard is my favorite professor ever! He is so caring and memorizes all his students names. Lectures are difficult so pay attention and re-watch kaltura after it. Lab exams are easy, but just don't fall behind in this class, it'll be hard to catch up. He also curves up almost a whole grade letter at the end of the semester

This has been my favorite class in college thus far. I enjoy every one of Professor Yard's lectures. If you watch the Kaltura's and follow along in the condensed notes you will do well on the exams. Takes a lot of studying, but if you put in the work you will get the grade you want!

This is by far the most fast paced class I have ever. Do NOT take this class if you are taking other challenging courses. Anatomy REQUIRES you to have all of your attention focused on it. Yard is a AWESOME, but his class is just very fast paced and that is something to beware of. All lectures are on Kaltura and you can go to diff lectures/labs!

Great professor! Wants you to succeed, but makes you put in work for it. All lectures are recorded but going to lecture is essential to passing, although attendance isn't take. Lots of extra credit.

My absolute favorite professor and class. He made anatomy fun and super interesting. He cares about everyone, and will do anything to help you. One of the only science lectures I actually liked going to. He talks about crazy stories and always has everyone's attention. Dr. Yard puts things in the grade book super fast and offers great extra credit

Comment:

Professor Yard is the best professor I have yet to run into at IUPUI. You can tell he generally cares about his students. Literally will stop during lectures to say this will be on the test. He also offers trips to the cadaver lab, extra credit, and opportunities to accompany him on autopsies. I would recommend his Anatomy class to anyone.

Dr. Yard makes what could be a dry subject and makes it approachable and interesting. He is a dynamic speaker and goes very quickly but also makes sure to preview, cover, and review each set of new material for a total of three overviews. He has great stories and uses illustrations and videos (including his own dissection videos) to clarify things.

He is an all around amazing professor. He will make you work for your grade, but he will reward your hard work. It the best class I have ever taken. He is inspirational and makes the lectures fun, don't skip class because of Kalturas. Go to mentoring and relisten to Kalturas, do your condensed notes and lab books. If you try you will have no probs.

Great professor. Difficult class. The best way to learn is to attend all the lectures. Make sure you watch the kalturas MULTIPLE times. Overall, I highly recommend taking anatomy with professor yard.
