Comment:
I took Rozbicki's US to 1865 class for my major. He's a super nice guy, but his lectures can be a little dry and you have to read a lot. In his class, you HAVE to participate-- 30% of your grade is participation. His exams are essay-based and pretty easy if you know the material. It's an easy class based on a couple of things.

Had for US Film. Grades were all participation and the midterm/final in-class essays. Is good at getting participation, talks about a wide variety of subjects and has a good sense of humor. Reading is a good idea to be able to say something in class. Nice and reasonable guy.

Class consists of two exams and participation grade(hard if you have a lot of history majors in class). Keeps class interesting and is sometimes really funny. Cares a lot about his students. Lots and lots of reading, but I highly recommend taking him.

He is a great teacher!!!. He really breaks down what are are learning. Go to class, participate and read. THere is only a midterm and a final and they are essays and 35% of your grade is participation. Pay attention to how long he stays on a topic and that is an essay question for one of the tests!

He knew his stuff and I had a great time. His accent was the best part and you don't really have a choice but to learn. You just come into class and he just talks about crazy things that stick in your head for the two tests. Thats all, not too hard at all.

He is a GREAT teacher and really knows what he is talking about. You learn alot and he is encouraging. HE LOOKS LIKE RUSSEL CROWE!!! (With a cool accent). Take this class, you will begin to really think before you say things, and analyze history properly. Participate in class!

He is Polish and knows more about America to 1865 than anyone I've met. A bit boring sometimes but his accent made it fun. Easy class, just pay attention to the main themes. Not hard.

This class is very boring I couldn't stay awake and I sat right in front of him. It's a lot of reading, 2 tests, 3 papers, and offers extra credit. Wants you to participate in class.

I still can't decide if I like this class. I'm almost finished too. Just 3 more periods. He's a nice man. Definitely knows what he is talking about. 2 exams.. midterm and final. Relies heavily on participation, which can suck if you're in a class full of history majors.
