Michelle is really something special. She cares deeply about her students, her subject, and academia as a whole. She balances practicality and depth. She's a real thinker, and she probes her students to keep up with her with the utmost skill and patience. She also has great taste and a laid back, fun attitude. Much to be learned from this woman.

Yeah she's a lot of fun. I just wish she was a little more opinionated. But I guess "opinionated film professor" is sort of lame. But still, she loves everything. She was telling me A Life Less Ordinary was worth seeing because it has "points of filmic interest" given that Danny Boyle directed it. I can't wrap my arms around that miracle.

Michelle's great. You have to have some patience with her and I think the biggest problem with the classes is that people don't speak up enough when she prompts for it. Talking with her outside of class is real joy, however. She knows a ridiculous amount and has great taste. Captivating woman.
