Comment:

I failed this class and switched majors. However, she shows a lot of enthusiasm towards Microbio and was often the one that helped me in lab during the unknown project. Her tests had very difficult multiple choice and essay questions and she never gave any hint as to what would be on her tests other than saying what chapters would be included.

Comment:

Dr. Thomas is great at what she does. She truly knows microbiology up down and backwards and made it so I could understand it. The material isn't terrible there is just a lot of it so reading the textbook also helped. She gives great information in class that is actually relevant and on the tests. The lab was not bad and Dr. Thomas made it simple.

She really cares about her students; she has offered me chocolate just about every time I've stopped by her office. The tests are a little challenging, but fair; there are no surprises. She is more than willing to sit down with you and explain concepts.

i loved micro and i think she is a great teacher! her tests are hard and you're going to have to work for your grade. she is very helpful outside of class if you can get ahold of her. but, overall i enjoyed the class and having her as a professor.

Her class is HARD, the exams are IMPOSSIBLE. The class averages were usually around 40-50. She is very nice and offers help but unless you are already awesome in bio I do not recommend her class. All of her quizes are on blackboard though, so you get to use your book. Quiz grades didn't help my final grade much though!

Thomas is a nice lady, but she sucks at teaching. She lectures all the time, yes, but she doesn't really explain things, just monotonically explains everything, which makes it very boreing. Her test are kind of hard, but her exam is easy... just study the past test and you'll do fine!!

Those people that say she's so good, please majority of the class and previous classes had c,d,and f's. She expects people to have time to read the textbooks and memorize, and recall everything. It's hard. Either people got too many old exams and all to say she's the best. Truthfully, she's hard.

Dr. Thomas is very helpful if you have trouble understanding something in her class, and is overall a very nice and very smart person with a beautiful personality (beautiful both on the inside & outside). She's excited about what she teaches & in my opinion, any class is more enjoyable when the professor loves the subject.

Dr. Thomas is awesome. She's very nice and extremely helpful. Her teaching style is clear and easy to understand. She's probably the best professor I've had here at Campbell, and thanks to her I've really enjoyed micro and am looking forward to taking her immunology class. I would definitely recommend taking her class if you have to take micro.

Dr. Thomas is great. I had her for 3 semesters straight and have enjoyed her knowledge and teaching style. She is a wonderful professor and always helpful. It's too bad she doesn't teach in pharmacy school.

I dont care what you biology majors say, she is too hard, even if you study for her damn tests it doesnt matter, she makes you memorize way too many chapters per test. A good idea this school should do is make bio into 2 different classes 111 and 112 because about 24 chapter for a final is too much.

Dr. Thomas is a great teacher! She shows command in all the classes she teaches. Immunology and Microbiology are hard, but life is not easy. She is one of the best teachers you will find at Campbell! She is willing to help you, you just have to be willing to get help. Great Teacher!!!

she is too intellingent to teach the class. She irritated me everytime she talked about this or that was covered by cell biology. I believe if she really wanted pple to do good she would have been concerned when the class mean for 3 consecutive exams was 69%. If you can, take microbiology elsewhere.
