He's a hilarious guy, I really liked his sense of humour. He made the dry process of learning basically a repeat of Calc 12 interesting. Usually, there would be a group of students that just follow him outside the classroom after class, asking questions, and he'd try his best to answer them.

Amazing prof! Attend all his classes, pay attention, do all the suggested homework problems, and you will get at least a B in his class. He is extremely helpful and always there! Best professor you can have for Math 100, let alone your first semester of university.

My favourite professor of the term! He has excellent lectures, a wonderful sense of humour and doesn't mind poking fun about himself and is very helpful; he once spent 15 minutes after lecture going over a question I had. The only downside is that his midterms are more difficult than other profs, but he scales them to your (easier) final exam.

He is funny and his lecture is easy to catch up with. But his homework is hard so are the exams. Also he is not quite helpful. You can totally sense the change of tone when you ask him some dumb(as he said in class)questions by email.

Dr. Bennett made a challenging course a lot easier. His notes are very clear and relevant to the textbook sections. He teaches at an enjoyable pace and makes math class go by more quickly. He gives weekly quizzes which keep you on top of your work. Midterms were hard so I recommend doing your homework. Overall highly recommended.

One of the best Math profs in UBC. Knows how to get his students interested in the subject. Makes classes fun to go to, homework is somewhat difficult, but they prepare you for the exams. The exams are fine as long as you've done the homework and attended lectures.

pretty bad for 300 lvl courses... lots of (painful and ridiculously long) proofs for homework and they don't relate to exams. taught so much extra material compare to other prof. lectures are hard to follow after the first month. exam is HARD. If your friend said this course is easy, they prolly took it in summer where there is no proofs!!

Clear, easy to understand, young, and obviously very clever teacher. His tests ARE hard, but so are everyone's elses. The final average for the class was very similar to the other sections. He is a very nice and friendly person who you cannot be scared of. Top marks Bennett!

Like everyone says, very funny professor who is obviously interested in what he does. Makes math class pass by more quickly. His midterms are a bit tough but they definately prepare you for the final (which is generally easier than his midterms). Very helpful, and always answers questions. Goes at a good pace - spends time on harder stuff.Excellent

VERY funny and enthusiastic. You would enjoy the lectures even when you don't really understand the material. Of course, he's also amazingly good at making you understand. Sometimes goes a little bit too complicated, though. You can see that he likes teaching.

"you work hard you will do good in any course" BUT(a big BUT),u need to do ALOT of work to get a B or higher in Bennett's class. I did TONS of work (w/ a paid tutor) but I only got B- in the class. Don't take my word for it, look at the class average: 65%. But HE DOES SCALE UP if every1 do poorly.

Had him last year, seems very nice and very funny, and made the course very interesting. Had a bad first midterm mark, but it was only cuz I was too overconfident then studied really hard and got a 92 on second one. Like in every course work hard and you'll be fine.
