Klassen is an awesome professor! He has some awesome experience in the advertising field and he shows it during class. The project has a lot of intricate work but it's an awesome asset for the resume(so take it seriously)!

Advertising &Promotion: His lectures are pretty lame. I am sure that I could have learned everything from watching Mad Men. Thinks very highly of himself. Block testing: all tests are during a span of 2 weeks. Separate tests on lectures and book, but all open note. One big project, very unclear. Must buy the books (new), one he's the author of.

I took Klassen for Consumer Behavior and Advertising and Promotion. He is an incredible professor. He does like to ramble but the topics are always interesting. CB had a 20 page paper and AdPr had a 20 page marketing project but he constantly shows you previous projects and gives help if you ask. Expects participation in class. Great Professor!

Klassen cares for his students. I've taken 2 classes with him and he takes time to explain the material to us. His lectures are easy to understand and he always relates the work to real world examples.

As a graduating senior, I had never had a problem with a professor. However, during my final semester I took Advertising and Promotion with Klassen and it was the worst class of my college career. He DOES NOT even read your projects. When confronted, this becomes obvious. Klassen is a spineless, self-obsessed loser whose only talks about espresso.

He crams all his exams into 2 weeks, leaves for those two weeks, then makes the exams ridiculous. On top of that, you have to write a 20 page paper that teaches you nothing and is a HUGE waste of time.

He has interesting lectures and cares about student growth. His tests can be difficult but you are able to use your notes. He requires you to write a 25 page term paper, however, if you put in the time and effort you will do great. One of the best professors I have had at UNI.

Advertising and Promotion: There are 2 notes tests and 3 book tests, no final, and can use as many notes on them as you want. Although some questions are kind of hard. There is one major project. Make sure to ask his opinions often on it. If you do bad you have a chance to turn it in for a better grade. Would DEF take this class with him!

Great teacher, very helpful. Get to use notes on test, we didn't even have a final, final project (or paper in CB) is not too hard if you put any time in it and will let you redo. Lectures were very interesting also.

good teacher. Hilarious!!! Will keep you interested. The lectures are a little unorganized but you get to use notes for all tests. The final project is fun too! He will even let you keep turning it in until you get the grade you want ( if ya ask)!!

Great lectures and interesting, but term paper is graded on how well you can write - not what you know - and tests are full of useless trivia from the text chapters rather than concepts about consumer behavior that is important to know.

His tests are pretty hard and he also made us write a 25 page research paper. But overall he is a good teacher and even though its a lot of busy work you should expect a descent grade if you complete the paper and do halfway OK on tests. He is helpful and cares about students
