She is my absolute favorite professor. Ive taken two classes with her and Im signed up for another. She is so passionate about theatre and Ive left her class in tears multiple times over the wonderful things she has to say. She will push you to get to places in your acting youd never expect. Wonderful for beginners or experienced actors.

Comment:

My main issue with her is that she has a certain way she thinks something should go, and if it doesn't go exactly the way she envisions it, she'll berate you for it. Makes it hard for you to really do your own thing with a performance. Other than that, she's probably the most caring professor I've had, very kind, and is helpful outside of class.

Might take a while to get used to her theatrics. Very nice, and deeply cares about her students. Kind of forgetful (I got yelled at for doing something she said was Ok the day before) and disorganized. She expects a lot, but if she sees you're putting in a real effort, she'll cut you some slack.

Professor O'Hearn is an interesting person, she's had many cool experiences, and is good tempered. She reads directly from the book until she finds something to go on a tangent about. Does not stick to schedule at all. Offers extra credit, but the few tests are extremely easy if you've been showing up. Attendance not taken unless no one is coming.

While Susan may be a little disorganized with her syllabus, you definitely leave with knowledge about yourself, life, & her. She's passionate about the arts & expects you to put effort to understanding it. I loved the class. Did a lot of cool fun exercises & got to know other students on a deeper level. A challenge, she's emotional yet amazing.

Honestly this is the most stressful class I have ever taken in my life. She expects perfection when presenting your monologue/scene. And she rarely gives out compliments. She mostly criticize. I would only advise you to take this class if you had A LOT of experience w/acting.

I thought that she was a great professor, at the start of the term the class was a little rough...as the term continued I learned a lot about myself as well as other people.
