Out of the two professors that teach this course Miga is definitely the one to have. This is a very difficult class that convinced a lot of people to drop their BME majors but it is possible to get a good grade if you pay attention during class and get help from Miga outside of class. Miga is a really great teacher!

BME 101 is a very difficult class, but Miga is the best teacher for it. He knows his material very well, and will readily answer any question thrown his way about his work. This class requires A LOT of outside study time, but if you're willing to put in the effort, Miga will help you pass.

Miga lectures really, really quickly, but you can still understand the material. If you have the choice between him and Klein, take Miga (he's more friendly than Klein). His tests are rough but he gives a curve.

really unhelpful, he is too smart to be teaching an intro to BME class. turns a lot of students off of biomedical engineering all together. extremely hard class. get the other teacher if possible.

Hes an awesome guy. The material is hard and hes difficult to understand sometimes, but hes very helpful and clear as to what he wants on the test. He gets the reputation of being really hard, but i think its because most people dont put in the necessary time for the class. Its definitely a hard class, but very useful

He is a good professor. His teaching style gets boring at times, but the material is learned. He gets a reputation as being the harder of two professors, but he isn't. The two classes are almost identical now. Overall I would recommend him.

very difficult class; you will understand, but the test will blow your mind away; he is very helpful; but very unclear escpecially in tests; he will try to make the problem so real life that it will confuse you on what he wants; nice guy, but it's hard

This class is hard but Chen is no better (if not worse) than Miga. Get a tutor for the homework and ask for more points back during office hours. He loves it when you stop by his office and he actually is very helpful outside of class.
